Group A 4th Match of the ACC Womens Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 was played today between Hong Kong Women vs India A Women at Mission Road Ground, Mong Kok. In which India A Women defeated Hong Kong Women by 9 wickets.
India A Women won the toss and invited Hong Kong Women to bat first, Hong Kong Women batted first and started the inning very-very poorly, the entire team was dismissed just for 34 runs in 14 overs. Natasha Miles and Mariko Hill came to start the inning, the first wicket has dismissed just for 3 runs in 1.3 over, Natasha Miles dismissed just for 2 runs in 7 balls, next batsman Shanzeen Shahzad came to bat and she dismissed just for 1 run in 4 balls as second wicket in 2.2 over, the team score was 4 runs, next batsman Kary Chan came to bat and she dismissed without scoring in 8 balls as third wicket in 3.5 over, the team score was 5 runs, next batsman Marina Lamplough came to bat and she good strike rotate for a while with Mariko Hill, the fourth wicket has dismissed for 19 runs in first ball of the 9th over, Marina Lamplough dismissed just for 5 runs in 17 balls, next batsman Elysa Hubbard came to bat, after a moments the fifth wicket has denied for 24 runs in first ball of the 11th over, Mariko Hill dismissed for 14 runs in 19 balls, followed by Maryam Bibi came to bat and she dismissed without scoring in just 1 ball as sixth wicket in 10.2 over, the team score was 24 runs, next batsman Betty Chan came to bat and she also dismissed without scoring in just 3 balls as seventh wicket in 10.5 over, the team score was 24 runs, next batsman Ruchitha Venkatesh came to bat, in meanwhile the 8th wicket aslo dismissed for 25 runs in first ball of the 12th over, Elysa Hubbard dismissed without scoring in 7 balls, followed by Elysa Hubbard came to bat, the 9th wicket dismissed just for 27 runs in first ball of the 13th over, Ruchitha Venkatesh dismissed just for 1 run in 4 balls, next batsman Iqra Sahar came to bat and she dismissed just for 3 runs in 6 balls as 10th and final wicket in last ball of the 14th over, the team score was 34 runs, and Hiu Ying Cheung remains unbeaten for 4 runs in 8 balls. In this way, continuously wickets failed one after another, and end of the result the entire team dismissed just for 34 runs in 14 overs and set a very small target of 35 runs in front of India A Women.
India A Women bowlers performed very brilliant bowling, Shreyanka Patil took 5 wickets just for 2 runs in 3 overs, Parshavi Chopra 2 wickets just for 12 runs in 3 overs, Mannat Kashyap 2 wickets just for 2 runs in 2 overs, Titas Sadhu 1 wicket for 3 runs in 2 overs, Bareddy Anusha was wicketless for 4 runs in 2 overs, and Kashvee Gautam wicketless for 9 runs in 2 overs.
India A Women chasing 35 runs in the second inning, achieved the target very easily by losing just 1 wicket in the second ball of the 6th over. Shweta Sehrawat and Uma Chetry came to start the inning, the first wicket has dismissed just for 10 runs in 1.3 overs, Shweta Sehrawat dismissed just for 2 runs in 4 balls, next batsman Gongadi Trisha came to bat and handled the inning and took the match to the victory with Uma Chetry, Uma Chetry played an unbeaten inning of 16 runs with the help of 2 boundaries in 15 balls, and Gongadi Trisha also played an unbeaten inning of 19 runs with the help of 1 six and 2 boundaries in just 13 balls. In this way, India A Women chased the target very easily by losing just 1 wicket in 5.2 overs and won the match by 9 wickets.
Hong Kong Women bowlers Betty Chan took 1 wicket for 15 runs in 2 overs, Iqra Sahar was wicketless for 9 runs in 1 over, Kary Chan was wicketless for 1 run in 1 over, Maryam Bibi wicketless for 6 runs in 1 over, and Ruchitha Venkatesh also wicketless for 7 runs in 2 balls.
India A Women bowler Shreyanka Patil was selected as the best player of the match, she performed very brilliant bowling took 5 wickets just for 2 runs in 3 overs.
