Walking around the City

I'm still in Caracas and every day goes by at an impressive speed, but with the arrival of Sunday all that indomitable tide seems to go down, for a moment I think everyone took a break, so that the next day they can go out with renewed energy and lots of spirit to their respective destinations. That is why walking through almost any part of the city on a day like today becomes an experience that invites tranquility.

Caminando por la Ciudad

Sigo en Caracas y cada día transcurre a una velocidad impresionante, pero con la llegada del domingo toda esa marea indomable parece bajar, por un momento creo que todo el mundo se tomó un descanso, para al día siguiente poder salir con energías renovadas y mucho ánimo hace sus respectivos destinos. Es por ello que caminar por casi cualquier parte de la ciudad un día como hoy se convierte en una experiencia que invita a la tranquilidad.

On Sundays the streets are empty, vehicles circulate less frequently and therefore we face a much more serene city, where I can detail every corner and without haste I can look at how interesting it turns out to be this capital, which enjoys an imposing architecture, a perennial freshness and a style that is always pointing towards the avant-garde and modern, but that is intermingled with the historical and traditional.

Los domingos las calles están vacías, los vehículos circulan con menos frecuencia y por ende nos enfrentamos a una ciudad mucho más serena, en donde puedo detallar cada rincón y sin apuros puedo fijarme en lo interesante que resulta ser esta capital, la cual goza de una arquitectura imponente, una frescura perenne y un estilo que siempre va apuntando hacia lo vanguardista y lo moderno, pero que se entremezcla con lo histórico y tradicional.

Although I have been walking around this city for several weeks now, and before that I have been here on multiple occasions, I must confess that I still do not know it completely, I am still moving in predetermined geographical circles, and for reasons of time I have not had the opportunity to go into those places that I am told are interesting and beautiful. Since I want to make the best use of the time I have left, I decided to start walking in new places. This will not only broaden my knowledge and experiences, but will also keep me active and in constant movement.

A pesar de que ya tengo varias semanas caminando por esta ciudad, y antes de ello he venido en múltiples oportunidades, debo confesarlas que aún no la conozco por completo, aún me sigo desenvolviendo en círculos geográficos predeterminados, y por razones de tiempo no he tenido la oportunidad de adentrarme en esos lugares que me dicen que son interesantes y bellos. Puesto aprovechar el tiempo que me quede de manera óptima, así que me propuse comenzar a caminar por lugares nuevos. Esto no solo ampliará mis conocimientos y experiencias, sino que me llevará a mantenerme activo y en constante movimiento.
