Hallo liebe Hivians!

Heute war der erste Tag des Jahres, wo ich wieder einmal die Gelegenheit hatte, mit dem Fahrrad zur Arbeit zu fahren. Montags und Donnerstags muss ich nach Feierabend die Kinder vom Reiten abholen. Dienstags habe ich Baustellentermine. Somit bleiben nur der Mittwoch und der Freitag und wenn das Wetter dann nicht so gut ist, nehme ich doch das Auto.

Heute hat aber alles gepasst und ich bin dann heute Morgen um 6.50 Uhr bei -1°C losgefahren. Am Abend war es dann mit +9°C schon wesentlich milder.

Als ich zuhause angekommen bin, war auch mein bestelltes Paket schon angekommen. Ich hatte am Wochenende ein Stand-Up-Paddle-Board für günstige € 99,00 bestellt. Es dauert zwar noch ein paar Wochen, bis wir das Board nutzen können, aber wie sagt man so schön: "Haben ist besser als brauchen".

Ich bin schon auf die Qualität des Boards gespannt die man für € 99 bekommt. Allerdings kostet das Mieten eines SUPbei uns um die € 15,00 pro Stunde. Also muss das Board ca. 7 Stunden aushalten, damit es sich bezahlt gemacht hat. Mehr dazu gibt es dann wahrscheinlich im April oder Mai.

Today was the first day of the year when I once again had the opportunity to cycle to work. On Mondays and Thursdays I have to pick up the kids from riding after work. I have construction site appointments on Tuesdays. That only leaves Wednesday and Friday and if the weather isn't so good, I take the car.

But today everything was fine and I set off this morning at 6.50am in -1°C. In the evening it was much milder at +9°C.

When I arrived home, the package I had ordered had already arrived. I had ordered a stand-up paddle board at the weekend for a reasonable €99.00. It will be a few weeks before we can use the board, but as the saying goes: "Having is better than needing".

I'm already looking forward to the quality of the board that you get for € 99. However, renting a SUP costs around € 15.00 per hour. So the board has to last about 7 hours for it to have paid for itself. We'll probably have more on this in April or May.
