The 2022 World Cup is nearing its end. After producing so many magnificent stories, are we bound to have another surprise to conclude it? Surely! 🤞

Argentina booked their place in the finals yesterday scoring 3 past Croatia. It ended up being an easy and calming night for the Argentina faithfuls.

Before Argentina’s first goal, Croatia made us think it would be a tough night for Argentina when they had most of the ball and didn’t allow Argentina to have a sniff. But a penalty that has since been controversial at least among us the fans laid the foundation for Croatia’s destruction.

Messi stepped up and brilliantly put the ball at the back of the net and 5 minutes later, Julian Alvarez doubled the lead. Alvarez is a gem. I can’t stress it enough how much I enjoy watching him play.

Messi has been exceptional in Qatar and has managed to score 5 goals the same as Mbappe. Will Messi be able to guide Argentina to World Cup glory? It remains to be seen.

At 19:00 today, Morocco will look to make further history by being the first African team to qualify for the World Cup finals and the first time ever for their country. It’s no surprise Qatar is going to be packed with Moroccan supporters. I read on twitter Morocco was giving away about 13,000 tickets to fans to attend the semi clash between favorites France.

I’m not sure if after all we’ve seen we should still address any nation as the favorites but France are the defending champions and so it’s only natural to do so.

France are looking to make it to a consecutive final and will look to defend the trophy and keep it in France. They will hope to add this to their collection and make it their third World Cup trophy.

At the time of writing, the line ups have already been released and of course Giroud, Mbappe and Griezman lead the line for France. Rabio and Upamecano are absent.

Youssef En-Nesyri leads the line for Morocco while Ziyech, Boufal, Hakimi, Saiss and exceptional keeper Bono all start for Morocco.

Bono, the man that has contributed largely to Morocco’s success.

Just like against Spain and Portugal, Morocco will sit back and allow France have the ball. They’ve proven to be a very hard team to break down and France will have a tough job on their hands if they want to make it to the finals.

I think the key to breaking them down will lie with the ball carriers and the wingers. When I watch their games I think players that can dribble will have more chance to cause problems. Just trying to pass the ball around and hopefully find spaces has proven to be very difficult.

Even when you manage to get past the Moroccan defense, the goalkeeper Bono has proven to be very difficult to beat. Their defenders are tall and good in the air too so I’m not sure Giroud will enjoy himself with the crosses.

France have also proven their a goal threat all over the field and so I’m pretty sure this game will produce a goal or two. For the sake of my fantasy team I hope Mbappe gives me a goal or two. I don’t think I’m being selfish here. Ziyech should score too to help my team. I think I’m being fair now.😁😂

Either way I’m sure we’re in for a very interesting game. Who do you think will join Argentina in the finals? Favorites France to defend their trophy and bring pride to their people or Morocco to make history for their people and the whole of Africa?

Please let me know who you’re rooting for in the comments.

Thank you.

France did end up dealing with them but I’ll pretty sure they were scared for sometime when they couldn’t add the second.😂

Morocco are out now but they played their heart out today. They did everything but score and now the French are just a step away from maintaining their title.
