My Actifit Report Card: August 6 2024

Today is the anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Normally, I would offer a silent prayer while watching a live broadcast of the Peace Memorial Ceremony on YouTube, but unfortunately, today is the day of my eye doctor's visit. Unfortunately, it was my eye doctor's day, so I left my house at 8:00 a.m. and couldn't watch the live broadcast.
But I am completely exhausted from the summer heat. It has been so hot since this morning that it is hard to do anything, but I am writing this for the record.
Today I went to the ophthalmologist for the first time in two months. I had been changing my medication because of high intraocular pressure for a while, but I was relieved to see that the eye drops I have been using since the last time I went to the ophthalmologist seemed to be effective.
As usual, I had my eye pressure and vision checked, a picture of the back of my eye taken, and a medical examination. The ophthalmologist's examination equipment requires the chin to be placed on the table so that it does not move, and today I sometimes moved and the doctor got angry with me.
After leaving the ophthalmologist's office, it is a short walk to my family pharmacy. The photo here was taken at that time. The picture of the "parking lot" was disappointing because there were actually no cars anywhere, and the "shaved ice store" looked even more delicious with a big banner of delicious looking shaved ice.
I got my medicine and ran toward the bus stop. Just as I ran toward the bus stop, a bus came by that went near my house, so I boarded it, went to the supermarket to do some shopping, and then headed home.
My next eye doctor's appointment is in October.

今日は広島の原爆忌。いつもならYouTubeで平和記念式典の中継をみながら黙祷を捧げるところですが、今日はあいにく眼科の通院日。朝8時に家を出たので中継が見られませんでした。
それにしても、すっかり夏バテしてしまいました。もう朝から暑くて、何をするのもしんどいのですが記録のためこれを書いています。
今日は2か月ぶりに眼科へ行きました。しばらく眼圧が高くて薬を変えたりしていたのですが、前回から挿している点眼薬が効いたようで、安心しました。
例によって眼圧と視力の検査をし、眼の奥の写真を撮り、診察を受けました。眼科の検査機器はあごを台の上に動かないように乗せなければなりませんが、今日は時々動いて先生に怒られました。
眼科を出て、かかりつけの薬局までは少し歩きます。ここに載せた写真はその時に撮ったものです。「駐車場」の写真は実際はどこにも自動車が置いてなくてがっかりしたり、「かき氷の店」は美味しそうなかき氷の大きなのぼりが出ていてますます美味しそうでした。
薬をもらってバス停に向かって走ったら、ちょうど自宅の近くへ行くバスが来たので乗り込み、スーパーへ買い物をして帰りました。
次の眼科の診察は10月です。
