My Actifit Report Card: March 29 2025 | Awaken the Spirit of Summer!

Greetings Hive worlds and my actifit buddies! It's me again Iris, from East Java Indonesia. I am in a very ecstatic mood today because finally it's the looong holidayyy!

This week we celebrate 2 major religious festivals which are Balinese Day of Silence and Eid al Fitr, and as a country with a majority Moslem population, our government gives quite a long national holiday. This year was special, because the holiday lasted about 10 days, if the weekends were included.

So today, I brought my boy to visit my bestie that came to visit her home. Malang was our hometown, and after she got married she moved to another city. I missed her a lot and my boy was excited because her kids are coming along, so they can play together.

The kids wanted to play water balloon war, but actually we were still in the middle of the rainy season and the weather is quite chilly even though the sun is shining. But, we decided to let them be and embrace the early summer with water blasts!

We left at noon, because she got another plan today but I didn't want to go home yet since we already pretty far from my mother's home at the suburban. So I visited my grandmother house which only 10 minutes drive from there. My grandmother passed away long time ago, and now my aunts live there. But I spent my childhood on that house until I graduated from college, so I am really fond of that place.

It was drizzling when we arrived and we had lunch with my family. Right after that, my son were already so antsy to go out event though it was still raining. So I took him to play at the communal yard where I used to play as a child. It was very nostalgic and I just amazed how he wasn't feel cold at all despite the chilly temperature.

It was already dark when we arrived at home and since my boy still had some energy left, I decided to complete our unexpected summer themed holiday with fireworks party. It was the first time I allowed him to hold the fireworks on his own, and I was so proud he could handle it well. Can't believe how fast time flies.

What a very colorful day with a lot of laughter, love, and sentimental touch from trips to memory lane. I hope, today was a memorable day as well for my boy.
