Torneo femenino de Softball. / Women's Softball Tournament.

En el lugar donde estoy el deporte mas llamativo y casi que deporte oficial es el softball y el baseball, pero sin duda alguna el softball femenino es lo mas llamativo de los torneos que hacen en esta zona. Hay mujeres muy buenas, que tienen un nivel deportivo mucho mayor al mio, algunas mujeres de 50,55 y 58 años jugando a este deporte, hay algunas niñas de 12-15-17 años, y mujeres entre los 20-35 años, la verdad es que hay de todas las edades, algunas con mucho mas entusiasmo deportivo que otras, y hay quienes son mucho mas competitivas.

Los fines de semana son sagrados aquí, pues son los días que el torneo da marcha, en el pequeño torneo hay 8 equipos, con mujeres que han jugado en la selección de Venezuela, Selección de Lara y han participado en innumerables torneos con un nivel competitivo mayor, aunque en las reglas de este estadio se prohíbe el picheo duro. Todo tiene sus reglas y normativas, incluso hay una Ampáyer que fue parte del equipo de árbitros de la confederación mundial de softball y baseball.

The weekends are sacred here, because they are the days that the tournament runs, in the small tournament there are 8 teams, with women who have played in the national team of Venezuela, Lara Selection and have participated in countless tournaments with a higher competitive level, although the rules of this stadium prohibit hard hitting. Everything has its rules and regulations, there is even an Ampáyer who was part of the team of umpires of the world confederation of softball and baseball.

Mi padre es aficionado a este deporte así que junto a un amigo formaron un equipo, ellos son los técnicos y managers , y el equipo tiene jugadoras también de todas las edades, algunas que ya han participado en otros torneos y otras son nuevas en este deporte, sin embargo mi papá suele darles practica como si todas fueran nuevas, esto para que todas se acoplen, les enseña el reglamento y como jugar, posición de receptor, picheo, búsqueda de la pelota, todas las aptitudes deportivas que muchas no conocen, ademas de rotarlas en el cuadro para ver cual es la posición en la que cada una se desempeña mejor.

My father is a fan of this sport so he and a friend formed a team, they are the coaches and managers, and the team also has players of all ages, some who have already participated in other tournaments and others are new to the sport, however my dad usually gives them practice as if they were all new, He teaches them the rules and how to play, the catcher's position, fielding, ball search, all the sports skills that many do not know, besides rotating them in the box to see which is the position in which each one performs better.

En su primer partido ganaron con un juego muy cerrado, para ser un equipo nuevo ganaron vs el equipo campeón del torneo pasado. Sin embargo esa racha no duro mucho pues el segundo partido lo perdieron, pero con el mejor equipo del torneo actual, y con un marcador muy cerrado hasta instancias del 5to inning, luego creo que la presión les comenzó a pesar y terminaron perdiendo 9-5.
A pesar de ser realmente incomodo jugar con mascarilla, algunas lo hacen para cuidarse, esto no es una regla pero es un simple llamado de conciencia que hace la liga deportiva de esta zona con las muchachas.

In their first game they won with a very close game, for a new team they won vs. the champion team of the last tournament. However that streak did not last long because they lost the second game, but with the best team of the current tournament, and with a very close score until the 5th inning, then I think the pressure began to weigh them down and they ended up losing 9-5.
Although it is really uncomfortable to play with a mask, some do it to take care of themselves, this is not a rule but it is a simple call of conscience that makes the sports league of this area with the girls.

Hits, home runs, rollings, errores todo esto es lo que hace divertido el juego, y el estadio se llena solo por los juegos femeninos, los masculinos no suelen traer tanto publico.
Es asombroso ver a una mujer dar un home run aquí, al igual que chistoso ver como hacen errores y algunas no saben que hacer al momento de tener la pelota, a veces gritamos tanto por la emoción que nos quedamos roncos al día siguiente, y mi papá al ser manager siempre lo hace.
Hay jugadas realmente increíbles que no he podido documentar, hay peloteras que hacen unos lanzamientos demasiado increíbles, tienen una fuerza y una potencia que no se las puedo contar con palabras, y esto también hace muy emocionante el juego, los doble plays o triple plays que han hecho han sido jugadas de grandes ligas, pero lamentablemente no he podido grabar ninguna.

Hits, home runs, rollings, errors all this is what makes the game fun, and the stadium fills up only for the women's games, the men's games don't usually bring as many people.
It's amazing to see a woman hit a home run here, just as funny to see how they make mistakes and some don't know what to do when they have the ball, sometimes we scream so much because of the excitement that we are hoarse the next day, and my dad being a manager always does that.
There are some really incredible plays that I have not been able to document, there are players that make incredible pitches, they have a strength and power that I can not tell you with words, and this also makes the game very exciting, the double plays or triple plays that have been made have been big league plays, but unfortunately I have not been able to record any of them.

Es increíble ver como un deporte puede unir tanto a las familias los fines de semana, y ver como hay calidad de jugadores en estos pequeños pueblos. Sobre todo las mujeres que superan los 50 años, hay algunas que son las mejores jugadoras, sobre todo aquellas que ocupan posiciones como el left field, al verlas correr digo es realmente asombroso, yo tengo 25 años y no tengo esa capacidad ni esa resistencia.

It's amazing to see how a sport can bring families together so much on the weekends, and to see how there are quality players in these small towns. Especially the women who are over 50 years old, there are some who are the best players, especially those who occupy positions such as left field, to see them run I say it's really amazing, I am 25 years old and I do not have that ability or that stamina.

Siempre suelo acompañar a mi hermanita adoptiva a los juegos, incluso los que son en otras localidades.

El torneo recién esta comenzando, y espero que el equipo al que apoyo pueda ganar, aunque tienen algunos altibajos, estoy seguro que harán un gran trabajo y se acoplaran como un gran equipo, ya que tienen mucho potencial.
Aunque es un torneo aficionado básicamente, esta muy bien organizado, como dije, arbitraje profesional, el respectivo reglamente que se debe cumplir, e incluso premios para las jugadoras mas sobresalientes. Este joven torneo que tiene apenas 2 años, se esta expandiendo mas y mas y habrán nuevos equipos para el siguiente, esperamos contar con el apoyo de mas personas y que las chicas puedan seguir jugando y amando este deporte.

The tournament is just starting, and I hope that the team I support can win, although they have some ups and downs, I am sure they will do a great job and they will be a great team, as they have a lot of potential.
Although it is basically an amateur tournament, it is very well organized, as I said, professional refereeing, the respective rules that must be followed, and even prizes for the most outstanding players. This young tournament that is only 2 years old, is expanding more and more and there will be new teams for the next one, we hope to have the support of more people and that the girls can continue playing and loving this sport.
