If you know what they are like, why did they choose Qatar? The 10 commandments to follow during the World Cup.

Hi, I introduce myself, in the real world I'm Carlos Daniel Perez but in the Hive Blog universe my name is @waraira777. Like everyone who shares their posts in this community I also love sports, especially footbol (or soccer depending on where in the world you read me), and now that the world cup is becoming more and more imminent it still echoes in my mind all the political and social restrictions that this event that unites the world through a ball.

Here in my country we have a very funny saying that goes like this: "if they know what I am like, why invite me? a phrase that reflects the fact that those who know the background of the person to whom an important responsibility is given are the cause of any future eventuality that may occur. Evidently, the political and economic factor prevailed over sporting reasons and even logic in the selection of Qatar as the host country for the World Cup.

Obviously everything has already been decided, the World Cup will start in a week and the hosts are ready to receive both the teams and the fans from all over the world, all warned of what can happen to them if they do not follow the strange rules that apply in Qatari territory in the name of security, good customs and the Koran, in short, visitors to the small kingdom in front of the Arabian Sea are warned not to be taken by surprise if they do not comply with the following "commandments":

  1. Arrive in the kingdom without installing on your cell phone the app to follow your steps while you stay in Qatar. If you get smart and arrive without your glass-faced rectangle in the country you will be forced to buy one or you will watch the World Cup at home after being deported.

  2. Worse than not installing the surveillance app is that it finds you some kind of explicit adult material, so either delete it or use your imagination (so far there is no technology that can observe what's inside your brain).

  3. If you are a lover of ham and any product derived from pigs better wait until you get back home because in Qatar it is forbidden to eat this protein.

  4. Are you LGBT and other derivatives? Well if so, keep your homosexuality hidden in the closet while in Qatar if you don't want to watch the games behind bars.

  5. Are you going to Qatar hoping to have a sexual encounter with someone who is looking for the same thing as you? If you go to a hotel you will have to prove that you are a married couple, otherwise you will have to look for a dune in the desert far away from civilization.

  6. If you think that because it is a country in the middle of the desert you will have the opportunity to wear very light clothes showing your legs or torso, think about putting in your suitcase several pieces of pants, stockings and skirts up to the ankles if you do not want to spend your world locked up in prison.

  7. You love to make a fuss in public when your team wins? well, forget about it, at least outside the stadiums and areas authorized by the State for such purposes.

  8. Do you love to drink liquor at all hours or while watching the games? Then this World Cup is going to be very long and tedious for you because in Qatar drinking liquor is not only a sin but a very serious crime. It is only allowed to drink liquor inside hotel rooms or in special areas available for this purpose. If you walk down the street with a can of beer in your hand or a bottle of wine what awaits you is to see the dunes behind the four metal bars of your new hotel. By the way, some common sense, do not even think of driving under the influence of alcohol.

  9. If you are a man, don't even think of touching, talking to or hugging a local woman while she is alone, it is forbidden and you can go to jail.

  10. It is extremely rude in the Muslim world to show the sole of your shoe to another person, you can go to prison for such an act of indecency.

Of course there are many more things to consider such as food, one of the most exquisite in the world and something that Arab Muslims are proud of, so if you go to eat do not show disgusted gestures when you see people eating using their right hand (yes only that hand, using the left is considered impolite and dirty), you will not go to prison for that but you will be seen ugly.

Particularly this World Cup I will watch it at home here on the other side of the world, without the risk of breaking some absurd law, besides I love beer and eating ham.
