Der ORF hat nur eine Sublizenz für ausgewählte Spiele gekauft, soll der ORF überhaupt noch Millionen für Fußballrechte ausgeben oder wäre es besser, es nicht gleich den privaten Sendern zu überlassen?

I'm now watching Netherlands vs. Turkey. After Turkey beat Austria, I'm curious to see how the Turkish team will do against the Netherlands.
Who else is watching? How do you think will win? Can you watch it on the web? In Austria it will be broadcast free of charge (with advertising) on Servus TV. State TV (ORF) has only bought a sub-license for selected matches, should state TV still be spending millions on soccer rights or would it be better not to leave it entirely to the private broadcasters?

Pretty excited for Netherlands vs. Turkey hehehe. Turkey's recent win against Austria makes them hopeful. Watching it live online. Should state TV spend millions on football rights? I have no idea
I didn't expect Turkey to beat Austria from Austria's group stage performance. For certain Netherlands is coming out victors. But the trophy's Spain's, no team's better so far. However upsets happen in football so anything can happen. A nice weekend to you.

Warum soll ich überhauput noch ORF-Gebühr zahlen? Soll sich der ORF selbst am Markt behaupten, wie alle Privatsender auch. Ich sehe keinen Mehrwert in den unverschämt teuren Zwangsgebühren, mit denen fette Gehälter ausbezahlt werden, weit höher als am Markt üblich.
Beweis, dass sich die Medienlandschaft die letzten Jahrzehnte dramatisch geändert hat, Servus TV hat es ganz ohne Abogebühr geschafft, die EM zu übertragen und die Spiele im Web haben auch nicht mehr Werbung als im ORF. ORF finanziert sich doppelt mit Haushaltsabgabe und dann noch Werbung oben drauf. Denke, wenn es eine Nachfrage gibt, kann das die heutige Medienlandschaft (Internet, Privatsender, Pay per View) sehr gut regeln und attraktive Angebote schaffen, ohne Subventionen oder Zwangsgebühren.
