And it's Eddie Nketiah at the back post, Nketiahhh!, goal!
Woohoo! What a game of football yesterday. Two juggernauts in Arsenal and Manchester United went against each other, and I can tell you that it was crazy.
If you didn’t watch the match, then I'm sorry, mate; you just missed a tantalizing game of football.
Where do I start?
Well, I’m an Arsenal fan to the core. I started supporting this club because of a legend named Thierry Henry. Watching him play was enough to convince me to support Arsenal. So, now you know my history, hehe. Let’s leave it there now.
Fast-forward to this season, Arsenal has been nothing but unreal. We have been brilliant from start to finish, and quite frankly, the best in the league by miles.
But there’s a confident team called Manchester United that’s not doing badly, actually. They have been great and quite so, they’ve been in excellent form.
The first leg between Arsenal and Manchester United ended badly for us. United beat Arsenal 3 goals to 1 at Old Trafford, and honestly, we didn’t deserve to lose that game. Arsenal dominated that game but lost to a clever man-united side.
For the return fixture, it was time for Arsenal to hit back. We welcome Manchester United to the Emirates Stadium, and one thing is for sure: Man United must feel the heat.
United fans all over the place were making noises prior to this game. They kept saying, “ We’re the only team to beat Arsenal this season, and we’ll do it again.”
I laughed because I knew Arsenal would destroy Manchester United this time. With no Casemeiro in the United midfield, how can they handle the likes of Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, and the genius Martin Odegaard?
So it began
Marcus Rashford scored the opening goal for United (what a goal it was), and the United fans were shouting. They had no idea what they did. United just woke up the sleeping lion.
Arsenal scored back to equalize the game through Eddie Nketiah (cool finish from my striker Eddie Nketiah).
In the second half, star boy Bukayo Saka made it 2-1 to Arsenal (what a glorious finish!). By this time, Arsenal was in the driver’s seat. I've never seen such clever one-twos and sleek passes, especially Martin Odegaard's snakebite pass! I literally had an orgasm watching that pass from Odegaard.
I went outside to get some water for the United fans, only to return to find Lisandro Martinez had tied the game at 2-2.
Arsenal moved to another gear in the last 20 minutes of the game, and United could not cope with the invincible passes that we were making.
And here comes the hour, “and it's Eddie Nketiah at the back post, Nketiahhhhhh, goal!!!”
3-2, Arsenal wins.
Man United, relax! Arsenal is way above your level.
And by the way, the scoreline flattered Manchester United a little bit. They were lucky not to have conceded 5 goals. They had Wan Bisaka to thank for that.
