Sports Game NFT Marketplace Opens on Hive
Genesis League Sports (GLS) has become a reality which has brought Sports NFT Gaming to the Hive blockchain. Genesis League Goals (GLG) is that first piece of Sports NFT gaming created in partnered with Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA) as a rapid tactic strategy game that will utilize NFTs and cryptocurrency.
The GLG development has the potential of positioning he Hive blockchain among top NFT blockchains especially as it interfaces with sports which unifies nations and tribes. With MLSPA as co-partners to this project, there is the possibility of a seamless massive onboarding of web2 sports and NFT enthusiasts to Hive.
Two weeks ago, after the announcement from Splinterlands team, I shared how to open GLG packs and now any player that opened his/her pack can trade it in the GLG marketplace. Players that did not buy packs can also head unto the marketplace to buy GLG player and coach NFTs. The Genesis League Sports team had this to say in the GLS Discord channel:
We are excited to announce that the marketplace is officially launching with today’s maintenance! Cards will now be able to be bought and sold on GLG using Credits and GLUSD. The minimum listing fee will be $0.25 - to keep transparency, this is to ensure that royalties between GLG and MLSPA are always divisible. As a longer term solution we are going to change the precision of GLUSD to allow cards to be listed for less than $0.25 but that will take some design and development work. source
Credits and GLUSD are the currencies for purchasing player and coach NFTs in the GLG marketplace. Using credits on the market, leads to burning. It is amazing to see how the team is building utility for GLUSD and Credits in the GLS gaming economy. This in-game economy for NFTs in GLG game is a remarkable feat for the team.
Pack 1
Pack 2
I purchased and opened two (2) packs of GLSgoals from my GLX staking rewards. Cool that each of the packs opened a gold had a gold foil. Interesting times are ahead of the GLG game. lucky to have opened 3 packs in all while the gold foil probability is still 15%. I hope to open more packs in the coming week once my staked packs unstakes. I'm yet to have a coach in my GLG team and hopes to see them in my next.
The worth of some of the cards at the present market realities are awesome to behold. One of the cards is worth $19 USD and several others at $7, $10, etc. Looking forward to a month after the gameplay would have started. The cards would be worth much more.
This is just the beginning of a new season in sports NFTs game. Looking forward to have a robust marketing input from MLSPA that could raise the value of GLX above the one dollar value.
The future of GLG game looks so bright with this development. Already, the team is trying hard to keep to the roadmap of the game's development. Definitely, the next crypto bull-rush would meet GLG players and investors well.

Splinterlands game is termed the "next generation of collectible card games" in which allows players to collect, trade, and battle with provably scarce digital collectibles with real-world value. Battles on Splinterlands Unlike most trading card games, are fast and furious, and are usually completed within few minutes. The Splinterlands gameplay is simple and easy to learn viz: reviewing combat rules, making and submitting of the team and watching the battle unfold.
