This development was announced on IBM’s blog. The technology company revealed that Scout Adviser will create a list of players it thinks Sevilla should tap based on the team’s needs, taking into consideration the natural language processing and foundation models.

To design and build Scout Adviser, Sevilla FC's data department worked with IBM Client Engineering, leveraging watsonx's natural language processing and foundation models to search and analyze massive amounts of information present in the club's existing databases to evaluate potential recruits. Data entries that were considered include quantitative data such as height and weight, speed, number of goals or minutes played, and qualitative unstructured data such as the textual analysis contained in Sevilla's scouting reports.
