Genesis league Goals Launch: New Soccer NFT Game on Hive

While other blockchains are lying in wait for a possible facelift in the crypto market, communities on Hive Blockchain are busy creating new usecases for crypto, further adding value to the web3 ecosystem and helping to onboard more new users. The play to earn category has taken delivery of a new sports based NFT game created by the creators of Splinterlands game on the novel Genesis League Sports (GLS) platform.

Genesis League Goals (GLG), the pilot play to earn game on the Genesis League Sports platform has been soft launched. The soft launch happened on Tuesday, July 18th, around midday ET and open for closed beta testing for players who have purchased 100+ packs.

This soft launch is expected to last for about a week for feedback on gameplay, for possible changes, prior to the hard launch of the game! Additionally, team management guidelines was also released and available to every player on the GLS platform.
Teams are stored as NFTs too. The hard launch of the game is planned to happen by the end of July, 2023. The hard launch will feature additional elements such as substitutions and a new homepage design.

The GLG game beta launched happened after the pack presale ended. The proposed hard launch would also open up the next phase of pack sale and potentially a new user flow for account creation will be released. This is a huge milestone for the GLG team and a big addition to the Hive ecosystem in the play to earn category.

A robust marketing for GLG has ensued alongside with giveaways and burn events to share the game packs to th community and cause some significant attraction to the game and the bigger Splinterlands ecosystem. The wake of the hard launch, will feature a robust ads and PR, as well as posts from the MLS players, which promises a bullish trend around the GLG tokens market, particularly, GLX.

I successfully created my first team ahead of the hard launch and can't wait to participate in the matches. As with Splinterlands game, card character NFTs are crucial fir a successful gaming career. The performance of the team is dependent on the cumulative performances of the individual card characters based on their stats.
