My Actifit Report Card: August 30 2024

I had a fairly strenuous run this morning, hitting the road again to try to give my legs a bit of a break. Still, the hills were tough and I managed just under 6 hard miles.
At least the first mile was an easy flat to slightly downhill road section where I could loosen up a bit before hitting a long and steady uphill from mile 2 to 3. The climb had me down to a crawl before I turned around and was able to glide quickly back down towards the city and then home.
Overall pretty good but I hope to take a break with some hiking next week but we'll see how my legs go.
Lulu was happy to get out to Lynx Lake this afternoon as storm clouds began to roll in. We did have a few rain drops fall on our hike but not enough to dampen anything.

We went out along the eastern shore trail as usual with only a few other people on the trail - although there were plenty of waterfowl on the lake and shore.

A good finish to the week.
Looking forward to the end of summer and my first ultra in a month.
