My Actifit Report Card: August 18 2024

It was a damp, cloudy and cooler day for a longer workout out on the flat Peavine Trail. 10 km at a decent pace end to end on the trail.

The air was heavy and humid when I started down to long straight trail along Watson Lake. A few tiny raindrops occasionally fell but it was mostly just a muggy run along with a few other runners and plenty of cyclists enjoying this very easy route.

I started off at a very easy 10+ minute pace and relaxed as I enjoyed the beautiful Granite Dells scenery around me. I was still feeling great at the split with the Iron King extension at 3 miles and was ok out to the current end point a bit past 5 miles. My legs really began to tire after the turn around and I decided to just put in a 10 km effort and hike the rest.

Wish it had been a complete run but I'm making decent progress and we'll see how my body feels tomorrow (would like to run some more trails).
