My Actifit Report Card: June 9 2024

We spent a few hours down on Copper Basin Wash prospecting after a 2 mile hike down the dry and rocky wash under a sunny sky.

We enjoyed a couple of loops around the big neighborhood field with some good friends. Lulu always loves to walk with them since she gets plenty of attention and an occasional treat ❤️.
We haven't had any real rain in months so Copper Basin is a dusty and grimly spot with the dry wash having a layer of white mineral salts over the rocks - not something that you'd want to have in your home water.
There were several free ranging cattle in the wash but they quickly scattered into the brush when we arrived and Lulu was content to lay in the cooler shade.

It was a tough and tiring return hike as I was dirty and tired and my gear seemed to feel even heavier. The dry sand made the going tough and we both happy when the car came into view.
A good weekend as Summer is knocking at the door.
