Same Old Story

The Gunners this evening lost for the second time at the Emirates in a week against Manchester United in a FA cup 4th round match up. This result means an automatic knockout from the FA cup for the Gunners. Arsenal lost on penalties to a 10 man United team with the game finishing 1-1 at regular time .

It's quite obvious something is definitely lacking in the Arsenal squad. Despite the fact they played against 10 men they couldn't just produce a winning goal . To make matters even worse Odeegard missed a penalty which could have given the Gunners an advantage of winning. Havertz also missing a clear cut chance really added salt on the injuries of most Arsenal fans .

It's really just hard to fathom why Arteta can't get the Gunners past the 4th round of the FA cup since winning the competition in 2020. It keeps getting crystal clear as each day comes by that Arsenal will again end the season trophyless.

You might just want to question what process really is Arteta admonishing we the fans to trust. We obviously can't win the league , the Gunners just got knocked out in the FA cup , Carabao cup semi-final triumph is a big mountain to climb and the Champions league is not in sight at all.

Personally I feel it's safe to say our season is over as I don't have any iota of hope of we winning any trophy this season. The team's inability to sign a proven worth class striker has put us in this state of limbo and we are really suffering for it. I still fail to understand why Arteta didn't recruit one going into this season when we clearly needed one . Now this void has seemed to backfire on the squad as the Gunners can't seem to have a feasible headway in achieving a medal wear this season.

It's really a tedious job being an Arsenal fan if you ask me , when you're optimistic about them they just tend to dash your hopes and make you look silly. It's a shame honestly that we don't have anything to show for this rebuilding process.
