Letter To My Gunners Army.
Dear Arsenal fans,
I know how you feel this day because I am one of you. Its really okay to the feel the pain of disappointment. Let it hold its grip, because one day I believe we all will value the joy of victory even more.
The Premier League at this time is the most difficult it’s ever been. Afterall we pushed to the last day, sadly it wasn’t enough in the end. We no doubt have a worthy adversary in Manchester City , a club backed by a city-state and we have gotten here without breaking any rules. No asterisk beside our name.
As long as we stay building and believing, we will be back winning the title again. It won’t be easy, it hasn’t been easy. But all the bricks we are laying today will be the stepping stones to the podium in the future.
There won’t be City fans to banter you because there are very few of them. The ones that will banter you will do it as a way to look away from the mediocrity of the clubs they support.
Congratulations to Manchester City, whatever is said, the players have achieved what’s never been done in English football, a 4-peat. We hope to emulate their standards without copying their ways.
So then, enjoy your summer. We didn’t get what we wanted but success isn’t promised, it is achieved and we will do it soon. COYG!!
