My Actifit Report Card: January 9 2025 || IAAC DAY #995 || Patching And Repairing My Big Bird's Pen

Hi Everyone,

It's with great pleasure that I'm welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're all doing well and having a great day.

Today is Thursday, 9th day of the month of January and on the land of living and I'm very happy to be on here on this amazing platform today to share with you all about my today's activities.

How time flies, January going is going gradually and I hope all our goals for this month and this year will be achieved this year.

I started my day on a good note and I was busy for some hours at big pen which can occupied between 50-75 from brooding to maturity compared to my second pen where I am currently brooding 50 birds but can only accommodate 30-35 matured birds.

When it comes to poultry farming or raising broiler birds, space is very important as the need to move freely to enjoy good air and avoid overheating due to overcrowding which can lead to increase in mortality rate.

To make sure my birds enjoy their environment with great space, I have decided to move them in to my big pen. But before that, I decided to work in my pen today as I patched some holes which caused by the former birds as they can used their beaker to destroy the wall. I make sure to cement quarter wall level of my bird's pen and it took me a lot of time and energy. Though I was happy to get the job done but I can't stop feeling some pain in my neck.

This is how the wall of my bird's pen look like before I patched it up. As you can see, their are some holes and scratches caused by former birds.

The above pictures are all about how I mixed the sand with cement using water and shovel.

I took some pictures step by step as I continue to patched and repaired my bird's pen wall.

Then this what my bird's pen now look like.

I will have to left for few days so as to get dry be washing it as I will be moving in my birds from the small probably before the end of this week because I still have my job to do. Just like I said earlier that pen need to be clean and I will have to go sawmill to fetch sawdust that I be using for the bedding.

And at the end of the day I was able to achieve over 7k actifit step count.
