Traveling the World #374 - Round 1 Center Namba Branch @ Osaka, Japan

Hi Everyone,

Sometimes it can be a pain when the weather is cold and wet outside but the boys are full of energy at home. We can’t always head over to the shopping centres as we can’t be shopping every day. We found a place called Round 1 that offers many active indoor activities. This is great when the weather isn’t great as everything is undercover. There are a few centres around Osaka so we chose the one at Namba as it was the closest one to our house.

The centre offers lots of options on how long you want to stay. We wanted more than 5 hours so we bought an all-day pass which allows us to go in and out as often as we wanted until they closed. Activities span over a few floors and you could play whatever you want for the 1 price. We also added all you can drink package which allows us to get as many drinks as possible as some of the activities are pretty intense so having drinks around is needed.

Activities in this centre include indoor basketball, soccer, go cart, shooting, darts, tennis, squash and so on. Then there are less intense things like arcade games, karaoke (I spent 2 hours in there myself), a reading corner. Then top level, you get a baseball range with different speeds available to allow for all levels of players. Can I say this place is pretty awesome if you want to kill time when the weather is terrible outside.

In some of the games the kids need supervision but many of them are pretty straightforward. We were there during a weekday so not many people were around until after work, more office workers started to flow in. This was also the time we decided to leave for dinner as we spent many hours there and our bodies needed a good recharge. If you prefer to not do all these activities, the place also offers bowling which is separate to the Round 1 setup and spans over multiple floors. It was very popular amongst office workers also and that would probably be our next activity if another rainy day arrived. We highly recommend this place if you want to have some fun and get that energy out of the system.
