The Cast Is Finally Off!

Hi Everyone,

I've been super busy and tired recently as BB M had a minor accident at jujitsu 10 days ago and we had to take him to emergency as he couldn't walk on one foot. At first, we thought it was something minor and left it but the next morning he still couldn't walk so we had to take him to the hospital. X rays were done but the doctor could not see any fractures or broken bones but they could clearly see he didn't want to put weight on that foot therefore a cast needed to be put on.

We just came back from holiday so it wasn't the best thing for us. Most importantly, going to school would be a hassle as he is on the second floor. Lots of issues but we worked with the school to ensure he can go up and down the levels in the lift and make special arrangements for him during meal breaks. He gets tired easily with the crutches so I have to carry him back and forth. I'm exhausted.

Finally, we were back at the hospital and the doctor said that everything seemed to be fine and the cast could be removed. They can't see any suspected fracture or broken bone but if we do see anything, we can go back immediately. I'm just relieved things are back to normal today. I can finally have a good night sleep and not worry about him 24/7, especially when he is at school out of my sight. I am grateful at school his friends really looked after him, and after seeing him break down crying when he saw me at pickup, he knew that he would be very careful from now on when doing any sporting activities.
