Paul Merson urges Nketiah to remain at Arsenal

English pundit Paul Merson has urged Nketiah to commit his future to the Emirates. This happened after the youngster produced a sublime performance in Arsenal's 5-1 victory against Sunderland. Nketiah's hat trick saw the Gunners progress to the semi-finals of the competition leading many to believe the forward has a future at the Emirates if given more time to prove himself

Nketiah's future at Arsenal

For some time, doubts have emerged over Nketiah's future at Arsenal with the forward pointing out that he was in need of regular game time to play. However, after such an awesome display, pundit Paul Merson has urged the striker to pitch his tent at Arsenal insisting the English side would be instrumental for his development.

From Merson's viewpoint, he maintained that Arsenal is the perfect place to foster Nketiah's growth. Moving on, he gave an illustration to buttress his point insisting that Nketiah's move away from Arsenal right now, can only be to a smaller team. While playing for such a team, the young forward might even find it difficult to pull some stunt against some class of opponents and that may prevent him from having a colorful caree

The idea of Paul Merson is simple. According to him, Nketiah stands a greater benefit if he remains at Arsenal than if he moves to a smaller team. In other words, trying to push his way to the Arsenal first team, is a better bet for the young striker.
