Paseando por las ciudades es fácil encontrar muestras de arte callejero en forma de murales que adornan fachadas, vallas y esquinas

El arte callejero es una expresión que derrocha ideas, emociones y en muchas ocasiones protesta. transformando el espacio urbano y dando vitalidad al entorno. Me fascina intentar descifrar el significado que quiso transmitir su autor y que intención tenía cuando lo plasmó.

Pero se trata de un arte efímero sujeto al inevitable paso del tiempo. La lluvia, el viento, el sol y la contaminación van desgastando sus colores y formas, convirtiéndolos en recuerdos sombríos de lo que alguna vez representaron y para lo que fueron concebidos. Y no solo la naturaleza borra estos murales; la intervención humana también juega un papel importante.

Sin embargo esta degradación constante e inevitable no les resta valor; estos murales son parte fundamental de la historia de las ciudades y merecen conservarse y ser disfrutados, por muy efímeros que sean.

Ephemeral Beauty in the City

Strolling through the cities it is easy to find samples of street art in the form of murals that adorn facades, fences and street corners.

Street art is an expression that wastes ideas, emotions and in many occasions protests, transforming the urban space and giving vitality to the environment. It fascinates me to try to decipher the meaning that its author wanted to transmit and what was his intention when he painted it.

But it is an ephemeral art subject to the inevitable passage of time. Rain, wind, sun and pollution wear away their colors and shapes, turning them into somber reminders of what they once represented and for what they were conceived. And it is not only nature that erases these murals; human intervention also plays an important role.

However, this constant and inevitable degradation does not detract from their value; these murals are a fundamental part of the history of cities and deserve to be preserved and enjoyed, no matter how ephemeral they may be.
