Blondie Anniversary- My Actifit Report Card: December 9 2022
On 9 December 1976, the first album by the American band Blondie was released. Its title was "Blondie", exactly the same as the band's name, and it was a work without much commercial impact and few positive reviews.
Although they were originally a punk rock band that moved in the underground environments of New York City, on this first album their songs are framed in a style closer to the so-called new wave, a growing and fashionable movement at that time in the United States.
Despite being a minor album in her discography, it contains some very interesting songs, with provocative lyrics and with a Debbie Harry who soon became a music icon. Among the most outstanding songs is "In the Flash", which over the years became an anthem.
