My Actifit Report Card: November 29 2022
The Beattles' single "I want to hold your hands" was released on 29 November 1963. It is the Liverpool quartet's most successful single, with more than 15 million records sold worldwide.
"I want to hold your hands" was a song written by Lennon and McCartney with the intention of entering the American market. It was the first time that The Beatles recorded on four tracks, as until then they had always recorded on mixing consoles with two tracks. As a curiosity, despite their disagreement, they recorded the song in German in order to access that market.
Also on 29 November 2001, George Harrison, for many the forgotten member and the real mastermind of the band, died.
