My Actifit Report Card: November 16 2022
On 16 November 2017, the painting entitled "Salvator Mundi" was sold at auction. It was the most expensive sale in history, fetching nearly 400 million dollars. It is a work supposedly painted around 1500 by Leonardo Da Vinci in which an image of Christ appears holding a crystal sphere with his left hand and making a sign of blessing with his right hand.
Leonardo da Vinci's authorship of the painting remains controversial, as some experts do not attribute it to him and think that it may have been painted by one of his disciples.
It is not known who the buyer was or where the painting is located, although some claim that it is an Arab sheikh.
