El 10 de noviembre de 1969 se emitió el primer episodio de la serie Sesame Street, el programa educativo especialmente dirigido a los niños más famoso e importante de la historia de la televisión mundial. Duró 50 temporadas en las que se emitieron más de 4500 episodios y fue adaptada a mas de 30 países. En el programa interactuaban personajes humanos reales junto a títeres de peluche llamados “muppets”, algunos de los cuales se hicieron especialmente famosos: Kermit the frog, Miss Peggy, Fozzie, Cookie Monster, Gonzo o Rizzo entre otros muchos hicieron las delicias de niños y adultos.
On 10 November 1969, the first episode of Sesame Street, the most famous and important children's educational programme in the history of world television, was broadcast. It ran for 50 seasons with more than 4,500 episodes and was adapted in more than 30 countries. The show featured real human characters interacting with stuffed puppets called "muppets", some of which became especially famous: Kermit the frog, Miss Peggy, Fozzie, Cookie Monster, Gonzo, Rizzo and many others delighted children and adults alike for decades.
