I remember when...



My long Tempo training sessions started on this now paved road...at that time, I mean more than 15 years ago, I was preparing to run marathons and I was always looking for flat courses, and if possible with length markings on their edges, to run my longest intervals, 4000 or 6000m without interruption, on a smooth surface with a slight upward slope as it followed the riverbank from its mouth to its upper course...
It was a joy to run here, and I suppose it still is because, apart from the paved road, you can also run on the grass, which is perfectly level...
Today I ran almost 6 km just to visit this place, more frequented by cyclists than by runners or pedestrians...surely, the paved track is an authentic bike racing circuit during the weekend.
