Adductor problems

I was planning an 8km run but it couldn't be, however, it has been shorter...

Yesterday I was playing soccer with my son and it seems that I made a bad gesture that has awakened an old injury in my right adductor...

I have been dragging this injury since I was 22 years old, I remember exactly when I had it but I have always done maintenance to prevent it from reproducing.

At the cardio level I feel very well but the discomfort in my right adductor, at the height of the hip, has increased as the kilometers passed, so I have decided to abort my training and return when I had only traveled 3.5km
I'm going to give my legs a rest, not much but tomorrow I'll take it as a rest day...

On Wednesday I will try to run the same 8 km again to see how this little pain is going, I hope it's nothing.
There are better days and worse days, today has had to be a bad day...

Keep on running!

Yes, resting tomorrow is the best you can do. For sure you will achieve that 8km run for Wednesday.

Stay strong💪

Good luck with this injury, hope you recover quickly. I also had many adductors issues over the years, it's very annoying. You're probably right: rest is the best option. For me, ice and compression also worked somewhat, but it's a bit tricky due to the location of course.
