¿Cómo llegaron estos equipos a este encuentro?

La actual campeona mundial abrió con victoria sobre Australia (4 a 1), continuó con un (2 a 0), sobre Dinamarca y perdió en su último partido de Fase de Grupos por 1 gol a 0, contra Túnez. En Octavos de Final venció a Polonia por 3 goles a 1 y en Cuartos despachó a Inglaterra (2 a 1), tras el que es considerado el mejor partido del mundial. La Semifinal los enfrentó con Marruecos, la sorpresa del mundial y los vencieron por dos goles a cero.

Argentina

La Albiceleste tuvo el peor de los comienzos cuando protagonizó una de las grandes sorpresas del mundial, al perder con Arabia Saudita por 2 goles a 1. A partir de ese momento todos los juegos para Argentina fueron finales y las afrontó como tal. El siguiente partido fue contra México y superaron a los aztecas por 2 goles a 0, lo que metió a Argentina en el mundial nuevamente. El último partido de la Fase de Grupos definía la clasificación y el lugar dentro del grupo. Para ese duelo la Albiceleste se enfrentó a Polonia y los derrotó por 2 a 0.

En Octavos de Final enfrentaron a Australia y la vencieron por 2 goles a uno y eso los llevó a enfrentarse a Países Bajos en Cuartos de Final y tras empate en tiempo reglamentario los vencieron en la tanda penaltis. En Semifinales se enfrentaron a la Croacia subcampeona del mundo de Rusia 2018 y la vencieron por un cómodo 3 a 0.

El último partido en copas del mundo entre estos equipos fue en Octavos de Final de Rusia 2018 y en esa ocasión Francia derrotó a Argentina y la eliminó del mundial. Francia terminaría ganando esa copa del mundo y se consagraría como el mejor equipo del mundo.

Fue un partido digno de una final y de la grandeza de esta Copa del Mundo. Ambos equipos salieron con la alineación que agrupaba a los jugadores que mejor podían cumplir la estrategia planificada por cada equipo.
A partir de lo anterior Argentina abrió con Dibu Martínez, Otamendi, Molina, Romero, Enzo Fernández, Rodrigo De Paul, Alexis Mc Allister, Tagliafico, Di María, Julián Álvarez y Leo Messi.

Primer tiempo

Fue una demostración de la inmensidad argentina y la flacidez francesa. En este periodo todo fue de la Albiceleste, parecía un solo equipo dentro del terreno que atacaba, defendía, creaba y anotaba. En ese periodo todo lo hizo la Argentina. Además de lo anterior hay que destacar la grandeza de Ángel Di María y la pujanza de su capitán Lio Messi.

En este primer tiempo pasó de todo: Desborde, creación permanente, juegos por las bandas, dominio del medio campo y goles, dos goles. Cuando el árbitro pitó el final del primer tiempo todos los indicadores del juego eran favorables a Argentina y si no terminó con un marcador más abultado fue por las paradas de Hugo Llorís, portero y capitán del equipo francés.

Segundo tiempo

Este tiempo comenzó tal cual culminó el primero, pero Francia comenzó a apretar tras los cambios introducidos y Argentina sacó a Di María e introdujo a Acuña, con el objetivo de asegurar el resultado. El quitar a Di María, disminuir la intensidad y ataque e intentar asegurar el resultado echando al equipo atrás dieron pasos a los problemas argentinos. Primero un penalti que fue convertido por Kylian Mbappé y pocos minutos después un contragolpe culminado por el propio Mbappé con una media bolea genial lograrían el empate momentáneo.

Corría el minuto 81 y ya se presagiaba que tendríamos tiempos extras.

El empate supuso un duro golpe para la selección argentina y una inyección anímica para Francia que intentó aprovechar el momento sicológico y el subidón de adrenalina que tenían para intentar liquidar el partido y ganar su tercer mundial, pero 90 minutos no bastaron y tuvimos que esperar 30 minutos, para conocer al campeón del mundial de Qatar.

Tiempo extra

Si pensábamos haber vivido todas las emociones de este mundial estábamos muy lejos de la verdad.
Por fin Scalonni hizo cambios para tratar de ganar el partido y metió jugadores frescos en el terreno.

El primer tiempo extra concluyó sin goles. En el segundo tiempo los líderes de uno y otro equipo se pusieron los galones y tiraron de sus equipos para intentar ganarla tercera corona mundial.
Los 15 primeros minutos del primer tiempo terminaron sin goles.

En el tercer minuto del segundo tiempo y tras una jugada colectiva Leonel Messi convirtió su segundo gol del partido, su número 7 del torneo y el que le estaba dando la copa a su selección. Muchas lágrimas y celebraciones en las gradas argentinas, pero los franceses estaban decididos a mantener su reinado y continuaron batallaron y a pocos minutos del final empataron el partido. Nuevamente su mejor jugador se encargaría de salvar a su equipo y con un hat trick legendario impedía la coronación albiceleste.

Cuando el árbitro pitó el final del partido la pizarra marcaba un 3 a 3. 120 minutos no fueron suficientes y la decisión del campeón tenía que venir desde los penaltis.

Nuevamente fue un momento para mostrar la grandeza de los porteros, la calidad de los cobradores de penaltis y los nervios de los jugadores.

Francia comenzó tirando y no podía ser otro que su líder Kylian Mbappé y este no falló. Argentina respondió con Leo Messi y el capitán argentino tampoco falló. El segundo tiro de los franceses fue detenido por el Dibu Martínez y el tercero de los franceses lo falló Tchuoameni, mientras tanto; argentina logró los goles 2 y 3 por intermedio de Paolo Dybala y Leandro Paredes.

Momento de GLORIA

El cuarto tirador de Francia fue Kolo Moani que si fallaba le daba el título a Argentina, pero anotó y obligó a los albicelestes a ese tiro.
Lo vivido por Gonzalo Montiel en ese partido nunca se le olvidará porque cuando su equipo estaba a punto de ganar la copa cometió un error grave que terminó en pena máxima y fue convertida por Mbappé, en lo que supuso el empate final a 3 goles. Sin embargo, la vida le dio la posibilidad de anotar el gol del título mundial y supo capitalizarlo al anotar el penalti y llevar a la Argentina a su tercera corona mundial.

Fue una de las batallas más intensas de la Copa del Mundo, pues ambos crack se enfrentaron en una épica batalla futbolística, en aras de conducir a sus equipos a la consecución del título mundial. Fue una batalla de entrega, amor a la camiseta y de calidad deportiva. Por una parte, el jugador argentino anotó dos goles y dio un pase a lo Maradona contra la Brasil de 1990, para que los argentinos concluyeran un contragolpe letal que supuso el 2 a 0 momentáneo de los albicelestes.

Por la otra parte, Mbappé condujo a una Francia que jugó uno de sus peores partidos y apareció cuando su equipo más lo necesitaba y empató el partido en dos ocasiones anotando un hat trick en el juego final que sólo lo había hecho el jugador inglés Geoff Hurst.

Estos son los elementos que quiero resaltar del encuentro:

•Fue un partido dignísimo de una final y de los vividos por el autor solo se asemeja el del 1986 que casualmente Argentina le ganó a Alemania por 3 goles a 2, pero no lo supera.

•Argentina dominó el partido y en el primer tiempo fue inmensamente superior.

•Argentina tuvo un juego colectivo integral, circuló mejor el balón y sus extremos le ganaron a los de Francia que no encontraron la manera de parar el ataque argentino.

•A juicio del autor, Francia jugó uno de sus peores partidos del mundial y sólo al final del segundo tiempo encontró respuestas para las interrogantes y tácticas planteadas por los argentinos.

•El esquema de Scalonni funcionó muy bien y metió a los franceses en un mutismo futbolístico que solo encontró respuesta con la entrada de Koeman y Camavinga.

•A pesar de lo anterior, variar la estrategia y dejar de atacar le permitió a los franceses venirse arriba y forzar el empate.

•Se volvió a demostrar que cuando cambias estrategias que te dan resultado positivo puedes perder partidos ganados. El autor reitera que la mejor manera de defenderse es atacando y Argentina pudo pagar caro el echarse atrás y tratar de defender el resultado.

•El autor se alegra por el partido de Ángel Di María quien fue el mejor del partido, mientras estuvo en el terreno y condujo todas las acciones de peligro de su equipo.

•Fue un juego digno de una final, en el que los jugadores se entregaron por su bandera y demostraron la grandeza y belleza de este deporte.

Mucho de lo logrado por este equipo se le debe a su entrenador quien ha trabajado fuerte en construir un equipo, en demostrar que Messi es el líder y mejor jugador de Argentina, pero que el equipo es mucho más que eso. De igual manera, supo conducir este equipo paso a paso y los sacó de esa incertidumbre inicial del mundial, tras la derrota ante Arabia Saudí. Scalonni construyó una familia, respetó a los jugadores, impuso sus criterios a ase de lógica y trabajo y logró que sus jugadores confiaran en su proyecto.

Muchos no confiaron por su juventud y por no ser de los técnicos archiconocidos, pero su trabajo le dio la razón y hoy es el director técnico más joven en ganar una copa del mundo.

Reconozco que Leo Messi no ha sido de mis jugadores favoritos lo que no quiere decir que no reconozca que es un jugador fuera de serie, pero siempre me molestó que no apareciera cuando más lo necesitaba su equipo, que no tirara del carro como lo hacen los verdaderos líderes y que no mostrara su verdadero carácter competitivo ni su fuerza infinita con su selección nacional.

Como amante del deporte me alegra que Lionel Messi haya alcanzado este título que era lo que le faltaba, para agregarlo a su excelente palmares.

Reflexiones tras finalizar el último partido del mundial
