[ENG/ESP] Dos colosos del fútbol mundial / Two giants of world soccer

Esta publicación debía salir ayer, pero como expresé, la última partida de Roger Federer y la acción final de Rafael Nadal, en la partida que ambos escenificaron juntos me robaron el corazón y, como amante del deporte que soy no podía dejar de referirme a ese atleta excepcional y rendirle un modesto homenaje, por la grandeza de la obra.

Desde la semana anterior se han venido realizando partidos de selecciones nacionales. En Europa se han realizado encuentros pertenecientes a la Liga de Naciones y en el resto del planeta partidos amistosos que han servido de preparación a todos los equipos, fundamentalmente a los clasificados para el mundial y les ha permitido planificar estrategias de juego, instrumentar diferentes acciones, probar jugadores en distintas posiciones y visualizar los posibles escenarios que puedan presentarse en la competición más importante del deporte mundial, a nivel de selecciones nacionales.

Dos de los casos anteriores corresponden a dos colosos del fútbol mundial, dos países que atesoran una rica historia en este deporte en los que el fútbol forma parte de la cultura e idiosincrasia de sus pueblos. De una parte, está la tierra de la Samba, la alegría, las playas y de la otra la tierra del tango, el mate y la pampa.

Entre las dos naciones atesoran siete Copas del Mundo y en sus países se encuentran los que para muchos son los mejores jugadores de la historia. De una parte, Pelé, Garrincha, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho y de la otra Di Stefano, Maradona, Lionel Messi. Sí, nos referimos, a Brasil y Argentina: Dos gigantes Sudamericanos del fútbol mundial.

En el primer amistoso de estos equipos, casualmente, los dos juegos terminaron por goleadas de 3 a 0 y en ambos casos los dos equipos se vieron superiores a sus rivales. Pero, qué ocurrió y cuál es mi apreciación personal de ambos equipos, rumbo a la Copa del Mundo de Fútbol Catar 2022.

Los partidos previos de estos países estuvieron marcados por sendas victorias y en ambos casos desde los 11 pasos. En el caso de Brasil venció a Japón 1 gol por 0, con Neymar como protagonista del penalti anotado y Ghana venció a Chile desde la tanda de penales.

El partido

El máximo ganador de Copas del Mundo de Fútbol y uno de los máximos aspirantes a levantar la Copa del Mundo presentó una alineación que tiene entre sus atributos fundamentales el ser muy ofensiva, algo que se le había solicitado a su entrenador Tite que se ha caracterizado por un fútbol defensivo. Aquí hago un paréntesis: Siempre que se ha intentado cambiar la filosofía de juego de un equipo los resultados no han sido los esperados.

La forma de jugar de un equipo va más allá de estrategias y acciones de juego porque lo que realmente escenifica un equipo es su forma de vivir, sus costumbres, su cultura y el juego defensivo de Brasil dista bastante de la forma de ser de los brasileños. Dicho esto, vayamos nuevamente al partido.

Alineación de Brasil

Alisson, Thiago Silva, Alex Telles, Marquinhos, Éder Militáo, Casemiro, Lucas Paquetá, Neymar, Richarlison, Raphinha y Vinícius Jr.

Como puede apreciarse una alineación bastante ofensiva, con un sistema 4 3 3 que, ante un equipo que no le exigió mucho al pentacampeón del mundo debía recibir varios goles.

Goles

45 minutos le bastaron a Brasil, en el Stade Océane de Francia, para definir el encuentro y 9, para marcar el gol inicial. El primer tanto vino de un balón parado, uno de los fuertes de este equipo, pues tiene a varios jugadores que van bien de cabeza (Thiago, Militáo, Casemiro, Richarlison y Marquinhos), por solo citar algunos. Este tanto fue anotado por el jugador del PSG Marquinhos que es un peligro, para cualquier equipo, en tiros de faltas o de esquina.

Los goles dos y tres fueron anotados por el 9 brasileño Richarlison. El segundo tanto fue en el minuto 28 tras una posesión colectiva de Brasil que el delantero brasileño convirtió en gol tras golpear el balón de primera intención, raso y abajo cerca del palo, a la izquierda de la portería y el tercero al minuto 40. Nuevamente a balón parado, tras una falta a Vinicius Jr. Neymar cobró la falta y el balón lo puso para que el 9 brasileño anotara de cabeza y sumara su segundo gol.

En el segundo tiempo Brasil se dedicó a controlar el partido, aunque desaprovechó algunas oportunidades de gol.

Argentina vs Honduras.

La previa de estos dos equipos es victoriosa. En el caso de Honduras viene de vencer a Canadá en su último partido 2 goles por 1 y la albiceleste viene de golear a Estonia 5 por 0, con todos los goles anotados por Leo Messi.

El encuentro se realizó en el Sun Life de Miami, en Estados Unidos y a diferencia del rival de Brasil, el de Argentina no está clasificado para la Copa del Mundo Catar 2022. No obstante, el resultado es válido y se vio a un equipo argentino dominante y dueño de todos los aspectos de un encuentro en el que Honduras apenas inquietó al equipo albiceleste.

Alineación de Argentina

Gerónimo Rulli, Nahuel Molina, Germán Pezzela, Lisandro Martínez, Nicolás Tagliafico, Leandro Paredes, Rodrigo de Paul, Giovani Lo Celso, Lionel Messi, Alejandro Gómez y Lautaro Martínez.

El entrenador Lionel Scaloni ha sido fiel a su estilo y sumó su partido número 34 sin conocer la derrota. En el partido el entrenador rotó a varios de sus jugadores buscando conformar la mejor alineación posible de cara al mundial.

Goles

Tan sólo le bastaron 15 minutos, para anotar el primer gol. El tanto fue anotado por Lautaro Martínez tras un excelente pase de Leonel Messi. El segundo llegó tras un penalti cometido contra Giovani Lo Ceso a quien lo agarraron en el área tras pase del Messi, quien fuera el encargado de convertir la pena máxima en gol. Con esta anotación concluyó la primera parte, con un cómodo 2 a 0 favorable a la selección argentina que al igual que Brasil dominaron el partido en el mismo tiempo inicial.

Con el partido definido comenzó el segundo tiempo que fue un monólogo del primero, con Argentina moviendo todos los hilos del partido y Honduras defendiendo hasta que en el 23 se produce una genialidad de Messi convertida en gol, cuando picó el balón por encima del portero. Al final del partido Argentina 3 y Honduras 0, en un partido que pudo tener más goles.

Una reflexión final

Brasil y Argentina son las dos grandes esperanzas de nuestro continente, para tratar de acortar la brecha que nos separa, en cuanto a Copas del Mundo alcanzadas, pues Sudamérica tiene 9 copas y Europa tiene 12. ¿Pueden ganar en Catar 2022? La respuesta es sí. ¿Será fácil? Claro que no, pues hay selecciones como Francia, Bélgica, Portugal, Alemania, Inglaterra y otras más que son aspirantes al título.

Estas victorias no fueron contra equipos de primer nivel, pero se ven equipos sólidos, concentrados en sus juegos, con buenos jugadores en cada una de las partes del juego y lo más importante; tanto en Brasil, como en Argentina sus dos líderes principales y compañeros en el PSG: Neymar Jr y Leonel Messi están jugando muy bien en sus clubes y están rindiendo al máximo en su selección, algo que en el caso de Neymar siempre ha sido así, pero en el caso de Leo era una asignatura pendiente.

No sé si ganarán la Copa del Mundo, pero de seguro son la esperanza de millones de seres humanos que amamos el deporte, admiran a estos equipos y viven en esta parte del planeta.

Since last week, national team matches have been taking place. In Europe, matches have been played as part of the League of Nations and in the rest of the world, friendly matches have served as preparation for all the teams, especially those that have qualified for the World Cup and have allowed them to plan game strategies, implement different actions, test players in different positions and visualize the possible scenarios that may arise in the most important competition in world sport, at the level of national teams.

Two of the above cases correspond to two giants of world soccer, two countries that treasure a rich history in this sport in which soccer is part of the culture and idiosyncrasy of their people. On the one hand, there is the land of Samba, joy and beaches, and on the other, the land of tango, mate and the pampas. Between the two nations, they treasure seven World Cups and their countries are home to what for many are the best players in history. As can be seen, the lineup was quite offensive, with a 4 3 3 system that, against a team that did not demand much from the five-time world champion, should have conceded several goals.

Goals

45 minutes were enough for Brazil, at the Stade Océane in France, to define the match and 9 minutes to score the opening goal. The first goal came from a set piece, one of the strengths of this team, as it has several players who head well (Thiago, Militáo, Casemiro, Richarlison and Marquinhos), just to name a few. This goal was scored by PSG's Marquinhos who is a danger, for any team, on free kicks or corner kicks.

Goals two and three were scored by Brazilian 9-goaler Richarlison. The second goal was in the 28th minute after a collective possession of Brazil that the Brazilian striker turned into a goal after hitting the ball with first intention, low and low near the post, to the left of the goal and the third at the 40th minute. Again from a set piece, after a foul on Vinicius Jr. Neymar collected the foul and the ball was placed for the Brazilian 9 to score with a header and add his second goal.

In the second half Brazil took control of the match, although they missed a few scoring opportunities.

Argentina vs Honduras.

The match

Both teams have a winning record. In the case of Honduras comes from beating Canada in their last match 2 goals to 1 and the Albiceleste comes from beating Estonia 5 to 0, with all goals scored by Leo Messi.

The match took place at the Sun Life in Miami, in the United States and unlike Brazil's opponent, Argentina's is not qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Nevertheless, the result is valid and it was seen an Argentine team dominating and owning all aspects of a match in which Honduras hardly troubled the Albiceleste team.

Coach Lionel Scaloni has been faithful to his style and added his 34th match without defeat. In the match, the coach rotated several of his players in order to form the best possible lineup for the World Cup.

Goals

It only took 15 minutes to score the first goal. The goal was scored by Lautaro Martinez after an excellent pass from Leonel Messi. The second came after a penalty against Giovani Lo Ceso who was caught in the area after a pass from Messi, who was in charge of converting the penalty into a goal. With this goal, the first half ended with a comfortable 2-0 favorable to the Argentinean team, which, like Brazil, dominated the match in the same initial time.

With the match defined, the second half began and was a monologue of the first, with Argentina pulling all the strings of the match and Honduras defending until the 23rd minute when Messi's genius turned into a goal, when he kicked the ball over the goalkeeper. At the end of the match Argentina 3 and Honduras 0, in a match that could have had more goals.

A final thought

Brazil and Argentina are the two great hopes of our continent, to try to shorten the gap that separates us, in terms of World Cups reached, as South America has 9 cups and Europe has 12. Can they win in Qatar 2022? The answer is yes. Will it be easy? Of course not, as there are teams like France, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, England and others that are contenders for the title.

These victories were not against top level teams, but you see solid teams, focused in their games, with good players in every part of the game and the most important thing; both in Brazil, as in Argentina their two main leaders and teammates in PSG: Neymar Jr and Leonel Messi are playing very well in their clubs and are performing at their best in their national team, something that in the case of Neymar has always been the case, but in the case of Leo was a pending subject.

I don't know if they will win the World Cup, but for sure they are the hope of millions of human beings who love sports, admire these teams and live in this part of the planet.
