Premier League Records You May Want to Know || Player Centered
I'm here again with some Premier League records you knew, never knew, or may have forgotten. You know, it's important to know as many records as possible concerning your football club so that, in the days of any banter, you won't be found wanting🤓🤓 I love football banters; I don't know about you. More so, gathering facts and unique achievements about your special club gives confidence when talking about them.
In my previous publications, the records centered on clubs which included facts like; the club with the highest EPL trophies, most wins, draws, and losses amongst others. Here, the focus will be on the players. I'll take through some of the records set and broken by various football players in the English Premier League. I hope you find them insightful and interesting.
EPL Records: Players-Focused
Beginning with this, who is the player with the most gold medal? In case, you didn't know, the player with the most Premier League winners' medals is Ryan Giggs of Manchester United. He has 13 EPL winners' medals. He won them with Manchester United in the following years; 1992/1993, 1993/1994, 1995/1996, 1996/1997, 1998/1999, 1999/2000, 2000/2001, 2002/2003, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011 & 2012/2013.
Next is, the most "Player of the Season" awards. Winning the player of the season award more than once isn't just a mean feat. So, here are some of the players that have won the award twice so far; **Thierry Henry (Arsenal) won the Player of the Season in 2003/2004 & 2005/2006. Cristiano Ronaldo won the award in 2006/2007 & 2007/2008 while at Manchester United and Nemanja Vidic while Manchester United got the awards in 2008/2009 & 2010/2011 football seasons.

Speaking of the most appearances made by a player in the Premier League, Gareth Barry tops the list with a total of 653 Premier League appearances. This is a total of his appearances at Aston Villa, Manchester City, Everton, and West Bromwich Albion between 1997/1998 to 2017/2018.
On the other hand, Ryan Giggs has the most Premier League seasons appearances. He has played a total of 22 seasons for Manchester United which stretched from 1992/1993 to 2013/2014. Likewise, Brad Friedel has the most consecutive Premier League appearances of 310. Note that he's played for Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur.
It's not very common for a particular player to play for different clubs in the EPL. However, one man broke this record and played for 8 different clubs in the Premier League. His name is Marcus Bent. He's played for Crystal Palace, Blackburn Rovers, Ipswich Town, Leicester City, Everton, Charlton Athletic, Wigan Athletic & Wolverhampton Wanderers in the space of 1997/1998 to 2010/2011.
