Europa League Welcomes Barcelona

I happened to save this photo from somewhere on the internet before the game between Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona. I think the right time to share the photo here is now. Lol

Barcelona didn't get any revenge rather they were defeated another time. Bayern Munich thrashed them with 3 goals to nil.

You know many times, people argue about football or talk much when it comes to football. Well, if you ask me, I would say that football is better played than talked. It is easier to say that you will win than actually playing. I tend to walk away when I see people talk too much about football especially those that cannot even play.

It was a sad night for Xavi and the entire Barcelona football club. I think for a very long time, this is the first time Barcelona will be seen contesting for the Europa Cup. It's quite a pity for them but this shows how wrong it was to build a team around one person. Well, even before Leo Messi departed, the club lost its glory.

Furthermore, FC Barcelona were matched in the same group as Bayern Munich, Benfica and Dynamo Kyiv in champions league. Sadly, they were only able to grab 7 points. They were only able to win 2 matches, played a draw in one and then lost 3 matches.

To be frank, this is the worst performance we have seen from FC Barcelona in a very long while. But that's football for you; times change. A club which was once feared is no more much of a threat in the football space.

The UEFA Champions League has now gone into the Round of 16 stage. Liverpool FC appears to be the team with one of the highest group stage points. The Reds recorded no loss in the group stage as they won all matches to grab 18 points. Incredible!

I still have hopes that they could lift the trophy this year although they are many other reputable contenders. Liverpool seem to be in a solid shame although the likes of Mane, Salah, Keita will be featuring the AFCON early next year. But they're other replacements as well. One thing I love about Liverpool FC is that the squad isn't built around a single person. Teamwork is always the watchword.
