Are Manchester United Going Back To The Glory Days?

Over the past couple months, it has been nothing but a joy to watch Manchester United play goo attacking football. The fans are starting to believe again, and there is so much from the players and coaches that makes it perfect to watch this team play football. Our current ran of form has been nothing but amazing, Old Trafford has become a fortress once again.

Manchester United have gone for about 17 games unbeaten from home, this all as a result from the tactical genius Erik Ten Hag. Since his appointment, he has been leading Manchester United in the right direction and I believe with time and support, he can bring back the glory days to Manchester United. Imagine with a smaller squad size like what we have, and yet he’s still able to produce such great performances.

In the Europa league, we were able to beat Barcelona at home after a 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp, it was an absolute thriller. Even though we were robbed by giving away a penalty to Barcelona, we did not falter but always kept our cool and waiting for the right time to strike with our usual come back. When the odds were against us we showed the whole world why we’re Manchester United, an absolute joy to watch this beautiful team play attractive football. If we can keep playing this way, there’s no stopping us from lift the trophy.

As day says “Hard work pays off success”, it was something we all saw coming after making it to the finals of the EFL Cup competition. Manchester United were able to beat Newcastle United in the finals to claim the trophy, after going trophy-less for nearly 6 years. It was really an exciting match to watch, Newcastle were somewhat dominant in some parts of the game but since United were bound to win this, we didn’t panic. A 2 nil win was enough to secure the trophy, with goals from M Rashford and Casemiro.

Just two days after winning the finals, we were back in action today (Wednesday) against a really struggling side, West Ham in the FA Cup tournament . I think in the first half, they’re pretty dominant and the better side since Erik decided to rest some of our key players. All the action was left for the second half as they were able to score the first goal, and Manchester United coming from behind to win the match at 3-1 (The comeback kings never fail lol).

Now we face Fulham in the next round of the tournament, hopefully this is another trophy we should be looking to winning. Only Manchester City may be the threat but even with that, I am confident we can win this cup as well. It was a great game between us and Fulham before the World Cup and I believe we can beat them again and proceed to the semi finals. This season has been one of the best we’ve had in recent years. I didn’t want to say it but…. MANCHESTER ARE BACK :)

Glory glory man United 🎶 glory glory man United 🎶

The team’s certainly playing well and look like a tough team to beat. But you know as a rival I can’t admit that you’re going back to glory days.😂

Certainly a great turn around considering how poor they were in the early part of the season. I still think they need to add quite a few players to their squad to genuinely challenge for the EPL title It'll be interesting to see if that lack of squad depth impacts their ability to keep fighting for the FA Cup, Europa League and League. We also have to wait and see whether a protracted take over bid will impact their ambitions on the pitch.

Well I believe our next season performance will only come at best if we’re able to get in some more players. We have already seen how we lack squad depth in this team, the potential takeover will be the only turning point. Even with the lack of squad depth, I still believe that we can reach finals of the remaining competitions. I’m not just sure about challenging for the Premier League title.
