Today was mostly delivery with a bit of final sorting. I finished work around 12:00PM which is nice. Admittedly I try to finish around then as that’s a 7 hour day for me as I start at 5:00AM. Mostly though, if I’m doing a full sort plus delivery I don’t often finish until around 2:00PM. It is what it is.

I did stuff all once I got home. I just watched Silo on Apple TV+ (we got 3 months free when we bought the new Mac Mini.

I also played Farming Simulator 25 then went to church.

Once I got back I played around with FreeCAD because I want to learn an absolutely free application that allows me to do design work for woodwork.

I currently use Fusion 360 and I love it. FreeCAD is a little more “UNIX” in its approach in that it’s interface is far more complicated that it needs to be and isn’t as simple to do something as Fusion 360 is. For example doing a cut out based on a sketch requires a full polygon to be created in FreeCAD whereas just creating a line automatically creates that polygon. I’m not against FreeCAD’s approach but it does require more thought as to how to design something. I do love it though.

I’m using really good tutorials on YouTube by a guy called MangoJelly. Who knows, if I get good then maybe I’ll do my own tutorials and post them to 3Speak via Ecency.

I’ve got tomorrow off to look after Little Wookie who’s still on school holidays. We’re going to go to Puke Ariki museum which has a moon display going on. He’s super keen to go see it again. I love when he gets excited about something, although he motors his mouth super fast. But then so did I at his age.
