List of winners from Confederation of Africa Football (C.A.F)

There is one beautiful thing about soccer competition. Knowing fully well that you effort and dedication is not always in vain is something to be glad about. We all knows a lot of things in this world that despite time and effort being dedicated and invested, there is no reward for it. This is really one pain in our butt that we at times needs to look into. I have seen some persons who after working for somebody, didn't see any thing being showed to them for their commitment. This at the end can lead to the sudden death of such person the moment they quit such job. The moment you give somebody award for his/her commitment towards what he/she is doing, you will sees them trying all their possible best to do more. This is one good thing or benefit that goes along side rewarding somebody for his/her service and commitment. There is nothing sweeter than getting rewarded towards how committed you are through the services you are rendering.

We all knows that this award is the biggest when it comes to Africa soccer competition. It is not that easy to see yourself winning it, if you find yourself in the category of lifting the award, you should count yourself lucky. Check the list of players that have won it, you will knows that they didn't wins it base on sentiment, it is simply because of what they did that made them wins it. They were able to wins it simply because they dedicated their time and attention towards what they are doing. They make sure that they put in their best performance which at the end yielded them what they have achieved so far. Just imagine out of all the players in Africa, you are the only selected as the best. Come off it, we knows this indeed is not easy at all. Any player that has won this award should be happy for such success, it is never an easy one.

We all see how through out Jay Jay Okocha career he didn't win this award. It was a shame to me because Jay Jay Okocha was outstanding through out his career. He was the Ronaldinho of Africa. He is just too blessed with his feet. Painfully enough, he never wins the C.A.F award. What a pain I must confess. If people outside the Africa continent hears that person like Jay Jay didn't win Africa best player award, they will simply doubt. They are only convinced after doing their own research. Just like what I hinted above, it is a shame to Nigeria and Jay Jay in particular. But he can't rewrite that again, he has already retired from soccer. He will leave with this pain through out his life.

Some days back, the body called Confederation of Africa Football (C.A.F), the biggest body in Africa gave award to players who they thought put in good performance through out their 2021/2022 season. At the initial stage they were countless nominees in the list but as time progresses, the list begins to get screened. With time, the list got to the state and stage it is before the winners were selected. Getting to the final list is not that easy, it simply shows and means that you were chosen among other players. The truth is that it shows that you are far better than those players during the 2021/2022 season. Your performance is top notch, that is simply what it means.

Deviating from the above talk and focusing on what we have at hand right now. Some days back, the Confederation of Africa Football (C.A.F) gave out award to players they thinks deserves such award. It was never easy choosing or making choices out of all the numerous players that were on the list. We all knows that making choices is not that easy but they manage to scale through to the final list and finally made one player the winner. This is why I always says that winning any award from the numerous category is not an easy option at all. If you wins it try and celebrate heavily. Just like I have hinted, it is never easy doing so. Below are the the list of players that wins from the different categories listed below. They include;

  • Club of the year; Wydad Fc

  • Player of the year: Sadio Mane

  • Goal of the year: Pape Ousmane Sakho

  • Youth player of the year:
    Pape Matar Sarr

  • Interclub player of the year: Mohammed El Shenawy

  • Women player of the year: Asisat Oshoala

  • Women coach of the year: Desiree Ellis

  • Women club of the year: Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies fc

  • Men coach of the year: Aliou Cisse

  • Women youth player of the year: Evelyn Badu

  • Women interclub player of the year: Evelyn Badu

  • Team of the year: Senegal national football team

From the above, players like Sadio Mane and Asisat Oshoala wins big on that night as they were able to defeat their rivals hand down. I think they both deserves the award given to them. Their form during the 2021/2022 was top notch.

It's really shameful that Okocha never won it. I think he might have gotten better recognition of he signed for Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson was chasing him. I think not winning major trophies played a huge part in it but I am glad that regardless of the awards, everyone still saw how great he was. I deeply admired this guy. If I can be half as good...
