Last day off before back to work. My Actifit Report Card: April 18 2024

Some days not even the dog wants to get up for his morning walk. Today was one of those days.

It was my last day off before going back to work. I guess the one small positive about having a sick mother is that I can rightfully take off some time from work without guilt.

However, if I want to keep working I should really go back when my time off is over (sigh).

So today I didn't go out early. I took my time and made a batch of hummus in the morning. Then I started a batch of soy milk. THEN I did my stretches and calesthenics after which my dog finally woke up and came in looking at me like.... C'mon dad, its time.

The walk was uneventful. Nice cool crisp morning. Very good for walking.

The park was beautiful and as you can see from the flowers spring is certainly here.

At the playground I had to smile seeing just how camoflaged my doggo is in the woodchips. I mean if he didn't have his harness on he would blend right in!

As for the day? More cooking (Baking Soda biscuits coming up on a foodies post sometime soon). I did taxes, got ready for grad, applies for dental insurance for my inlaws, checked up on my retirement property progress, did dishes and lots of other chores.

Even went for a walk to the mall to renew vehicle insurance as it was due and I'll need a car to get to work tomorrow.

In the evening my wife went for a walk with the dog and I. Even more steps on a beautiful day. Not much new to report but seeing the new growth on the bushes makes me smile.

and I think that's enough for today.
