Back to work. My Actifit Report Card: December 27 2023
Waking up in the morning to walking the dog and a beautiful sunrise is a great way to start the day.
Unfortunately it can't mask the fact that I have to work again today.
With the end of the year approaching and everyone trying to fill their prescriptions before they have to start reaching their deductibles in January...well, our volume of prescriptions was about triple that of a normal day.
However, I won't talk too much about my day today although I will mention one thing. I saw a prescription today that looked odd at first glance. Botox for sweaty armpits. Probably effective but about $900 for a few months of dryness? I had trouble wrapping my mind around that kind of expense.
Speaking of expenses. When I went for lunch today I got some pizza. I know, horrible diet food. I'm back on diet and exercise in January but for now I'm enjoying the season.
Financially what baffled me was two gas stations both across the street from each other.
141.9 vs 158.9 --> a difference over 10% and the distance is literally just a few meters. Why would anyone willingly pay 10% more?
Anyways, I finish my day at work and then take the doggo for his evening walk.
When I get back from the walk I take a moment to see my neighbors Christmas display. It likely won't be up much longer so I take a picture as a quick holiday rememberance
Then its behind the computer screen to write a post for the Hive Learners and a whole lot more time trying to figure out how to put together a cohesive design on how to start a permaculture startup halfway across the world.
I must be crazy :)
But that is my day today.

Well, when there is money that amount is nothing.
Maybe the station has a difference of quantity.
Some fuel stations meter reads lesser than others.
So, testing and finding what makes the difference will tell.

In my mind there is always something to buy with money. If you have so much that there is nothing better to spend your money on than dry armpits you either have way too much or dry armpits is really important to you. Either way it stretches my imagination.
As for the gas station. Both quality and quantity are strictly regulated here. It is extremely unlikely that the cheaper fuel would be inferior in quality or shortchanged in quantity. In this case the more expensive fuel is at an established chain store. The less expensive fuel at a new franchise. Likely an attempt to attract new customers.
However my car is electric so I need neither place 😀
