Work and more work. My Actifit Report Card: September 9 2023
Some days are more work than others.
Today started off walking the dog. No surprise there. He is doing his work checking out the local telephone poles and making sure they are free from vermin.
He hears a rat in them once or twice and now wants to stop at them every single time just to investigate.
As for me.
I had to work at my regular job today as a Pharmacist. My job has been posted since March but still no takers. Result: my boss is working long hours and I'm not retired yet.
Oh well, the day will come.
After I get home a change in pace. I did NOT walk the dog today.
Instead I had to go and buy paint brushes and paint. I'm getting a room ready for my son to move downstairs.
So my youngest son is 17 and soon to be 18. He wants to be Independent but he isn't quite there yet. We have a downstairs suite where he can live with two room mates, he can cook his own food, get up at his own time, clean his own bathroom, and live with people who aren't related to him.
In short....live like an adult. However, he will still be under the same roof we parents can check in on him regularly.
but had to get the room painted in preparation for carpet layers coming tomorrow.
So, painting from 5-8pm then watch TV for an hour while first coat dries.
then more painting from 10-midnight.
Ugh.
Long day
but the paint is mostly done. Possibly a small touchup or two tomorrow morning.
...overall work, walking, and housework made juuuust over 10K steps for the day.
Just enough to post and get some AFIT tokens,
Horray.
And thanks for reading
Until tomorrow

Not an easy job but yes, it is supposed to be like this. I wish your son the best of luck...
Hehe....
Many full adults can't live up to that standard.
However, as a father I have two jobs:
Since my youngest is soon to be 18 time for a trial run to see how much adulting skills he has ..... while I still have him at home so I can guide him when he fails. and yes he will fail, he's 17, and not perfect but better to fail at home than when on your own :)
At least in my opinion :)
