Another day at work. My Actifit Report Card: July 6 2023

Another day at work means....

..... another report very similar to yesterday.

What did I do first thing in the morning? You'd expect me to say walk the dog but actually I woke up my son at 4:55am so he can get to his new job.

After that....get a little more sleep before
..... you guessed it.

Walk the dog.

Get my 4000 steps in the morning.

Play coin hunt and get my $5 USD.

Get back home and get ready to go to work. After checking my Hive messages and posts of course.

I wish I could make a post or two as I have things to say but with my day its all I can do to just get my Actifit report done.

Get to work and it was busy right from the moment I walked in the door. The pile of prescriptions just never seemed to get smaller.

As the end of my shift loomed I saw that I was going to have to stay late and try to get caught up for tomorrow. In the end I stayed about 90 minutes overtime and still never got caught up.

Guess that's just how it goes.

Come home mentally exhausted and feet tired and you know what time it is.

Time to take the dog on the evening walk. Ugh... why did I ever let my wife and son get a dog? I knew I would be the one walking it.

Halfway through walking the dog my wife calls. It seems we have a meeting tonight with the family counsellor. So, I hustle myself back home and arrive just in time to head off to the counsellor.

Now here's something you may or may not know about family counsellors. You don't have to have problems for them to be useful.

True. We started going to the counsellor 3 or 4 years ago when we were having big trouble with our oldest son. Working together made a huge difference for the whole family.

In the end even when things were going well my son wante to continue. Not because he NEEDED to have a counsellor but because it was NICE to have a concerned person to talk to and get advice from.

I know there is a stigma about seeking advice from a counsellor but from experience it can be well worth it!

After that off to the market to buy some fruits and veggies.

Cherries and blueberries are in season now which is nice.

However Cherries have doubled in price from last year and Blueberries have tripled so that's not a welcome change.

My wife also wanted to get fresh eggs.

Side note: Always do the math.

1 dozen were 4.99
20 eggs were 8.99
30 eggs were 11.99

Now most people will think the more you buy the better the deal. However, if you do the math...

30 eggs are 40 cents an egg (best deal)
20 eggs are 45 cents an egg (worst deal)
12 eggs are 41.5 cents an egg (almost the same as the bulk price).

Getting the big pack only saves 45 cents!

In this case we just got the dozen eggs and headed home.

Now its time to have a bit of food, post here on Actifit, and prepare to do it all over again tomorrow.
