Stay Close (Mini-Series) Was Worth Binge-Watching... at least for me ;)
I haven't written any reviews for a while, but I've been watching a lot of movies and some TV series on Netflix. However, I didn't feel like reviewing most of them. However, it's different this time. It's been ages since I actually stayed up until past 3AM to finish a series... well in this case, a mini-series and it was worth it! I'm talking about STAY CLOSE.

It's a mini-series on Netflix which was based on a novel by the American author Harlan Coben. Now, let's talk about it. :)
What is the movie about?

The story initially revolved around a woman named Megan. However, she wasn't always Megan. She had a past that she's trying to conceal from her family. Unfortunately, no one can actually run away from their past completely. The same thing happened to her. Her past suddenly came back haunting her, trying to destroy what she currently has.

People from her past eventually came back and somehow got entangled with the people of her present. As she was trying to make things right and solve her problems, a crazy discovery of more complicated stories occurred. There were people missing and random killings. Yes... even that of a serial killer.
Let me show you the trailer below.

What I think about the movie:
Obviously, from the title of this post, I really enjoyed it. It was so fun and exciting to watch. There were a lot of twist and turns which I personally like in a movie. I like how I changed my mind on what I think was going to happen.. because there were just a lot of stuff going on. I love how complicated it was.
However, it wasn't only thrilling and dramatic, but there were also a lot of unexpected funny moments. There were some crazy characters which aren't that relevant, but made the series more entertaining. It's been a while since I enjoyed a series like this. It made me want to read the book... because you know, the book would almost always be better than the movie... in this case, mini-series. ;)
In addition, the soundtrack they used in the mini-series added to the attitude and mood. It was so interesting.
If you're into mystery with a complicated plot, then this is for you. It was shocking that it has quite a lot of negative reviews in IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes, but it was fun for me that I binged watched it the whole night until three in the morning. :)
I'll try watching the other Netflix series based on Harlan Coben's books from now. Thanks for checking this post out. See you around! (^^,)/
Congratulations!
