My Desire Grew Even Bigger... I Desperately Need a "BUNGO" anime!!!

More than three years ago, I published a post in the community stating my desire to have two sports manga animated. They were BLUE LOCK and BUNGO.

Luckily for me, the former was animated only a year and a couple months later after my post. If you're curious about this post, just click this. The first season of Blue Lock was so satisfying to watch and it was as exciting as the manga.

However, Bungo wasn't made into an anime. I caught up with the latest chapter that time which was around a hundred or more, so I just left it for a while. Recently, I decided to re-read the manga and caught up with the latest chapter, 391, just this morning. And my desire for it to be animated only grew stronger.

BUNGO is about a small boy who lived in a town with no baseball teams. However, he mostly spends his days throwing the ball he received as a gift from his father on a wall.

He is the type of person who is stubbornly single-minded. Once he set his mind onto something, he'd do it tirelessly.

One day, he had a fateful encounter with Noda, a Japanese U-12 representative. He suddenly got the chance to pitch against him and that moment changed him. He found a purpose and that is to pitch against Noda.

Due to their towns being next to each other, they ended up going to the same middle school. Bungo joined the Senior Baseball team which was run by Noda's father. It's called SEIO Senior.

The two continued their journey both as rivals and allies in the game called baseball.

So far, the manga focuses on their time in the Senior League as middle school students, but I got this feeling that the story would continue when they're high schoolers and it would only get better.

Bungo is as stubborn and baseball-crazy as Goro Shigeno from MAJOR and the story is as game-centered as Dia no Ace. This is the type of baseball anime that I have been longing to watch for a long time now.

Of course, there's a new baseball anime this season BOUKYAKU BATTERY which is also pretty good. Well, I've only read the manga and is yet to watch the anime... but, BUNGO deserves the spotlight. (I'm not saying Boukyaku Battery doesn't since it's also kind of unique)

But really, I want to see the characters in Bungo in action. It's so exciting, dramatic and has in-depth scenes regarding baseball. The characters are all so interesting, some are even eccentric which I love the most.

In addition, the art style has been improving. There were some weird drawings from a few years ago, but the latest ones are so detailed, so it's definitely a plus.

I'm begging the anime and baseball gods for this wish to come true. hahah
Thanks for reading and see you around! (^^,)/

Maybe if you're lucky enough, they'd animate this one less than a year and some months after;)
Amazing review by the way... I'll try to watch it after this exams..would def need something to distract me from my trauma😞

se ve interesante, aunque a veces no me da tiempo de leer manga, no estaría mal considerarlo jeje

it looks interesting, although sometimes I don't have time to read manga, it wouldn't be bad to consider it hehehe

It's easier for me to read manga than watch anime when I'm busy since I can stop after a chapter or so... But yeah, some of them are too long...😅😂
