I Finally Watched "BOUKYAKU BATTERY" (^^,)

The first season of Boukyaku Battery was released last season (Spring 2024). I was really looking forward to watching it because one, I'm a sucker for sports anime and two, I really enjoyed reading the manga version of this series.

Well, the manga has 40 chapters so far, but it has already shown great potential. I guess it's one of the reasons why it was animated despite it having just a few volumes. However, it's also has a downside... the second season won't be available soon as it mostly wait for the manga to continue with the story.

So much for the manga, let's talk about the anime version of Boukyaku Battery also know as Oblivion Battery.

Once known as the most formidable battery in middle school, Kaname Kei known as the "general" used his expert strategies to make the explosive pitches of Kiyomine Haruka shine. Their battery outshined and crushed a lot of other players dreams.

Among the players whose dreams they've crushed were Yamada Tarou (the one in the center), Toudou Aoi (Yellow-haired dude) and Chihaya Shunpei (glasses guy). The three of them have decided to give up on baseball, so they enroled in a public school Kotesashi High School which was said not to have any baseball team.

Fate is really funny, though. The school the three of them ended up enroling was the same school the battery who made them decide to quit enroled in. It was a shock, but what's more shocking was the fact the once level-headed general turned into an idiotic clown.

What would happen to this group of baseball boys? Watch the anime to find out! haha

Since I've read the manga before, I'm quite sure that I'd like the storyline, but what really got me was how amazing the animation is... I mean, the art style of the manga (personally) wasn't the best, but the anime version made the characters really cool! Oh well, it's MAPPA magic after all. xD

Another thing that I love about this is... Mamo-chan and Yuki Kaji. <3 I might be biased but they're both some of the voice actors that I admire. I got so excited when I saw that one scene when various versions of Kaname were compared, and I randomly saw Mamo-chan's photo among them... I had to pause! hahaha

Yuki Kaji is Yama-chan's voice actor in the series... and since his character mostly narrates the story, my ears are blessed with Yuki Kaji's voice. haha

The awesome animation style was also paired with an amazing song by Mrs. Green Apple. I think it's a great combination.

The manga is progressing pretty well, so I can't wait to see them brought to life again in the future. All in all, it's an exciting baseball anime with a comical twist. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did! (^^,)/

Thanks for reading this post and see you around... Have a great one! :)

I really liked this anime, and it's great to know that the animation has improved so much compared to the manga. The story has an interesting twist with those characters. I'm anxious to see how the plot progresses.

Art style-wise, yes... I think it's MAPPA magic, but the manga is already pretty fun... Same here, can't wait for the next updates! :)
