Port and Elm Street Parking Garage

Port and Elm Street Parking Garage

Good Morning and have a great day

I am seeign a lot of photos online of the Northern Lights last night, and in case anyone is wonderign I didnt get out and get any photos of them, as you may know most of my walks are around sunrise as I am an early riser, I probably should have motivated myself to head out after sunset last night, but I read that to really see them you had to go somewhere with very lightly man made light pollution, and the thought of gettign dressed warm and driving on the off chance to see them, I just was too lazy I guess and stayed at home, Ohh well maybe next time

After my surgey when I finally got out again for morning walks initially i was taking it pretty easy not carrying much in my camera bag often just one lens, well for the most part I am still doing that or just two lenses and not my big heavy one, and I wasn't walking as much as I used to often I would set up my little 360 camera and do some timelapse vidoes, and would kind of use that as either motivation or an excuse to not walk to far as I did not want to get out of sight of the camera in case someone tried to steal it.

Well initially that wasnt an issue as I wasnt putting on much weight, but recently i have finally started putting on some weight, maybe 15lbs, and although I am fine with that and still a good 15 lbs or more less than I was before the surgery I felt its time to get my step counts and exercise up a bit and now am trying to walk more when I get out for morning walks, and this is one of the first ones I took that was a good walk closed to what I used to do maybe 2 and a half or three miles that morning .

I parked at the port and decided to walk up through the historic district.

this firts photo is just after I crossed the road from the port

I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights too. The early morning walks—there's something special about the quiet and the sunrise.

Beautiful shots! They were so intense last night that you probably could have seen them pretty much anywhere I took some shots right from the backyard of my house. We have city right to the west of us, so light pollution is usually pretty bad.

A lot of people just set up all night. It's not easy trying to catch her.

l like it that you are getting back on exercises, and lt was great you walk two and a half miles, the fisherman statue is adorable, he was so caring to his family and that makes lt seems like he didn't return to his family after fishing.

We missed the Northern Lights due to clouds 🙁 Putting on weight sounds like good progress for you 👍 but yeah probably good to get some steps in if you are ready for that. Fishermans farewell is my favorite shot this morning. Perfect framing with the fishing boats in the background.

Great shots. I'm like you I'm up early and to bed earlier. I heard the Northern lights were going to light up the night skies but I was already hunkered down in the house. I've missed them all this year actually, maybe next one. Like the fisherman farewell statue very fitting as I imagine it would probably happen in the morning

Beautiful photos and beautiful place you chose to take them. What a beautiful port statue of the family saying goodbye to the fisherman. Now the area affected by the hurricane needs help and solidarity. They will recover very soon. My daughter lives in Orlando was not damaged but I experienced difficult moments that night. Greetings to you and I see that you are recovering from your operation quickly. I wish you good health 🤗.

That first shot is awesome. Just perfect timing. I'm glad you're feeling stronger and put some weight back on, now the challenge is to keep it there and not gain more. lol Great job on the pricures!
