My Actifit Report Card: March 9 2025

A week ago, it was still cold outside. I wore a warm jacket, and my hands were always freezing. It felt like spring was still far away. But suddenly, everything changed. This morning, the sun was shining, the pavement was dry, and the air was warm. The thermometer showed twenty degrees.

My mood instantly improved. After a long winter, it felt so nice just to go outside, feel the sun on my face, and breathe in the fresh air. My daughter had been asking to go for a walk with her friends, and I decided it was the perfect day for it.

We got ready quickly and headed to the playground. It wasn’t far, just between the apartment buildings. There were workout machines, a small fountain, and a store nearby. There were a lot of people around—kids riding scooters, playing tag, and laughing.

The girls immediately ran to the swings and slides. I stopped near the workout area and saw the mother of one of my daughter's friends. We often met on walks, so it was easy to start a conversation.

At first, we talked about the weather. It had been cold just recently, and now it had suddenly warmed up. Everything around us was coming to life: trees were starting to bloom, birds were chirping loudly, and people had taken off their warm jackets and were smiling.

Then the conversation turned to the news. Of course, it was impossible not to talk about the war. Every day, something was happening, and it felt heavy on the heart. We shared our thoughts, our worries, and talked about the future and how much everything had changed over the past few years.

While we talked, the children played. They ran, laughed, and went down the slides. Sometimes they came over for water or to show us a toy.

Time passed quickly. We had been outside for more than three hours, and I started to feel tired. My daughter had quieted down a bit too, which meant she had played enough.

When we got home, I immediately sat down to rest. The only thought in my head was: I’ll rest for a little while, then start making dinner.

It had been a long day, but a good one. I wished there were more days like this—peaceful, warm, and without worrying news.
