This romance between Pep and Klopp is reminding me of Marcelo × Cristiano. Something you give a worthy opponent. We’re witnessing two of the best managers of our generation. Pl is truly blessed.
Enjoy Pep and Klopp while they're here. Two titans of the game and will be sorely missed when they eventually both leave. what a game of football.
In first half: Klopp uncharacteristically stops high press but maintains high line. Pep destroys Liverpool's offside line which rarely gets broken to any consequence, Man City's surprise front 3 was for this. Klopp is out mastered but quality on the ball shows in equaliser.
Then Klopp matched Pep tactically and got his team to respond in the second half. Got to hand it out to Klopp and Liverpool for how they regrouped and came back in the second half. Pep and the two City wide-forwards were ripping LFC apart in the first half. In 2nd half Klopp gets his fullbacks to drop whenever a long ball is played over the midfield, neutralises Pep. LFC presses & keeps the ball more, show quality and efficiency again with the equaliser. Pep only changes two of front three with the offside line plan.
That was actually an eye pleasing match.
