Monday Sports Talk Social Quiz #7

You can read the rules for the quiz here, otherwise let's crack on with this week's questions.

Questions 1 -3 Say what you see

A familiar round now, full instructions and an example answer can be found on the quiz here.

Otherwise, it's really simple. Below are 3 players who are in Six Nations squads this year, all you need to do is give me their names based on saying what you see in the pictures below.

Question 1

Question 2

Question 3

Question 4 - Higher or Lower

A new round but one that anyone who ever watched Bruce Forsyth's 'Play your cards right' will be familiar with.

Let's hope you all do better than Gary and Tracy

You need to look at each sports stat below and decide whether it is higher or lower than than the stat before.

I've already provided the 'starter answer' which is 4 (the number of current EPL teams with United in their name) so if for example you think stat A (yellow cards in the Six Nations) is 7 then your answer would be 'higher'.

If you then think that the number of horses at Ascot with a colour in their name (stat B) is 5 then your answer would 'lower' because 5 is lower than 7 which is what you guessed stat A is.

An example answer then might be - higher, lower, higher, lower, lower

Starter answer - There are 4 teams currently in the Premier League with 'United' in their name

Is 'A' higher or lower than the starter answer?

A - Number of yellow cards given in the first 3 rounds of the 2022 Six Nations

Is 'B' higher or lower than 'A'?

B - The number of runners (horses) at Ascot on 19 Feb that had a colour in their name

Is 'C' higher or lower than 'B'?

C- The number of UFC title fights that Anderson Silva has won via Knockout

Is 'D' higher or lower than 'C'?

D - The number of IPL franchises who either bought or retained a player from the West Indies for the 2022 tournament

Is 'E' higher or lower than 'D'?

E - The number of rival managers who have recorded more than 2 wins in competitive matches against teams managed by Pep Guardiola across his career

Question 5 - Fill in the blanks

The below table shows an unnamed stat. All you have to do is work out what the missing number and missing nationality from the list are. Of course, it would probably help if you could work out the stat too but wild guesses are also appreciated!

As in previous question 5 rounds, clues will given if no one gets it straight away and the prize will decrease as the number of clues increases.

A correct answer is one that gives both the nationality and number

NationalityNumber
England?????
Spain5
Belgium4
France4
Netherlands2
Germany1
Ivory Coast1
Peru1

He's on fire! I assume I'm butchering the French language by suggesting it's pronounced Thomas in the way that you and I would pronounce that name

Ha ha, well it's definitely spelled the same anyways! Serious player, the French are looking very strong again.

Yeah you've gotta be quick for a few of the questions. However, Question 4 and 5 are still up for grabs. At the very least you can have a guess at both, although I'll give a clue for Question 5 later today as well
