Form Guide
Last season's champions pay a visit to last season's wooden spoon winners with both sides looking to get their first win of the new campaign.
The Renegades would have been fairly pleased with many aspects of their opening fixture against the Thunder but in general it was the inability of their top order to really go on and make a defining score that left them 10-15 runs short of what they would have wanted. I'm Aaron Finch will have drilled the message into his players that if they get in this time around they need to make it count!
Meanwhile, the Scorchers will be hoping to avoid losing 2 quick wickets in the powerplay again. Their middle order did ok to recover from that loss but once again they will be up against a bowling attack here who will happily strangle the life out of them if given a chance. Josh Phillipe's brilliant display with the bat then put a toothless looking Scorchers attack to the sword. Perth know they will have to up their game in all facets in order to stand a chance in this one.
The new Optus Stadium certainly provided a few more runs than the old WACCA and indeed most grounds last season as the 3 fixtures at this venue shows. However, with the Scorchers batting line-up looking a little fragile there is certainly no guarantee of a run-fest and if the game goes the same way as the corresponding fixture last year when the Scorchers were humiliated after being bowled out for 79 then a low guess could win it.
Maybe 303?
