A great win by the Scorchers yesterday as they posted the highest score in the competition to date. They will hope to take that momentum into this match against the Strikers who themselves didn't really get going in their opening game against the Thunder.

The reality is that had the match not been abandoned due to smoke from the nearby bush fires engulfing the ground then the Strikers would probably have lost that match. Not losing cheap wickets in the powerplay will be their primary aim today and Perth showed against the Renegades what is possible later in the innings when a side has wickets in hand.

The final game of last season at the Adelaide Oval was between these 2 sides and it produced a fairly high scoring affair as did most of the matches played here in 2018/19.
