My Actifit Report Card: October 22 2021

Had a great morning getting things done and nearly cleared my to do list. The weather had brightened by the time I finished so I got ready and went into town.

This week the Phoenix is celebrating the 80th Anniversary of The Maltese Falcon, the origin movie for the flawed, vulnerable, cynical loner private eye type and noir movies. I made the 6pm sitting in G9, and it was great - fabulous style, cinematography and a lot of fun. It also had a twist that I didn't remember. I could go back and see it again, some aspects of it are so delightful and the denouement scene is fascinating and beautifully choreographed.

Easy to get there and back, too, timed the buses perfectly and of course I wore my new private eye raincoat recently acquired from a charity shop.

I was a little confused by the costumes, though - it was set in San Fransisco, but everyone was wearing three pieces suits, tweed overcoats and felt hats - trilbies or fedoras. The women were dressed in lighter costumes and fabrics, but still quite laden. I imagined San Francisco as warm?
